Our SMB has been able to take our training videos to a new level with Synthesia's platform. Super easy to learn, quick AI customer service with the ability to get additional assistance if the AI can't get to the root of the issue, and consistently professional avatars and script to voice generation has been so helpful to accomplish our training goals. I've been having to resize/reposition my images when I bring them into templates that have a left or right border. It would be so much easier if the user could customize how the image gets placed (fit to space / fill space). In addition, I'd like to see the ability to purchase additional minutes rather than jumping from 120 all the way up to 360 minutes of video for the year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best feature of Synthesia that I have utilized is the AI Screenrecorder. It makes creating training videos so easy, I especially like that it transcribes my voice into a script that an AI voice over can read. When adding shapes to the scene, the video automatically cuts to the start of the scene. This is not very user friendly for scenes that include several screen changes. Synthesia integrates all the tools that I need to develop corporate videos easily, before I used to need at least 3 other tools (AI narrator, image/video stock, and video editing), but now I can do all of that directly on Synthesia, which increases a lot the productivity.

Some of the AI still comes across a little too mechanical andWhile the platform is incredibly innovative, some avatars and AI Twins can still feel slightly mechanical or robotic, which might make it harder to connect emotionally with viewers. For organizations like ours, where delivering authentic and relatable messages is crucial, this can occasionally lead to negative feedback or disengagement. Enhancing the naturalness of voice, facial expressions, and movements to mimic real people more effectively would be a fantastic improvement. I have used the software to create personalized avatars of myself, to make videos more quickly, I am incredibly fascinated with the precision of the avatar and the voice cloning, in addition, the generation of videos is fast and not tiring at all. I really recommend it.

Additionally, I must say that the support from the support chat is incredible, the AI ​​they use to respond gives excellent answers and if more detailed support is needed, they send you to an agent...I loved that. So far I have only had one mishap. Which was like finding out about deactivating the subtitles in the generation, I think this option should be more visible and not so hidden in the preview, but the truth is, the support that the support gave me was incredible, and I didn't have a bad time. Absolutely love the choice of avatars and voices within Synthesia. A big plus was their ethics as well - you cannot upload images or videos of other people here - this is very important to me. It is also super easy to use - I have been using it to add depth to my elearning process videos for software training - it makes it so much more professional and engaging - at least I hope it does! There is not much I dislike about Synthesia to be honest. I only have a Starter subscription but hopefully will be able to upgrade in the near future. The inability to add logos except in the Enterprise subscription is quite limiting - would be great if you could purchase this as a one off - I work alone and have had one client want a logo - but it wasn't worth it for me to upgrade my subscription to Enterprise for one client - just to put their logo on a shirt. It caused a lot of angst but at least I could change the colour of the shirt to their uniform colour but it was quite an issue. The lack of collared shirts can be an issue at my level - and the fact there are only a couple that can have their shirt colour changed. But these are minor issues only.
