Synthesia adds a dynamic approach and makes my training videos much more interesting. They have good templates and I dont have to work so hard to produce my courses. I combine this with AI for narritive and it works really well. Is easy to implement and get started. Also you dont need much training its all pretty intuitive. I have used the support a few times and the support function is fantastic if you have a probelm.They are really on the ball. to the point that we have started producing over 20 videos for our company. However, this has made it necessary to upgrade our subscription plan. Our intention was to invest in a package with more minutes, but the only option available beyond the "Creator" plan (€700 per month) is the "Enterprise" plan, which costs a staggering €9,000 per month, with no intermediate options.
This lack of flexibility in pricing represents a significant issue, limiting scalability for companies like ours that need a moderate increase in resources without having to face such a disproportionate cost jump. I was amazed at what this software can do. Creating professional video content is so easy - from uploading source material, to editing scripts, searching media content in the app, and then publishing. It took me maybe 4 hours to create a product video that it would have taken months and tens of thousands of dollars to create before. Maybe best of all, it is intuitive to the user. There are only small improvements I would suggest. Sometimes the cadence and inflection of the avatar voices are a little off from the script (only minimally), and of course the mouth movement is not 100% real, but it is VERY close. I have been using AI and AI Avatars video platforms for business-related projects for some time now. I can affirm that Synthesia have the best video quality output and the most realistic avatars in the industry. Synthesia have also the best in class video editor and the most productive workflow. There are some serious improvement opportunities in the platform.
1) Huge price gap between the self-service Creator plan and the Enterprise + Agency plans. A new plan bigger than Creator and smaller than the Enterprise would be a nice fit for some customers.
2) The creator plan has a very small 360 min videos limit per year. Comparing with HeyGen, Colossyan and others, this is a serious limitation. I also use Colossyan because of this.
3) Shallow and obscure moderation policy. I had blocked videos that have no relation to what is written in the moderation policy page. The worst is the appeal process. If your regular paying customer is asking for an appeal, even if that is the case of really being rejected, the customer should receive some clarification of why the video content was blocked and not just a standard message. Reading a standard denial message, I really felt like Synthesia's answer was: "you know what? I don´t care, I will not render your video and I don´t have time to tell you why". BTW, the video draft is deleted and you lose all your work. Important: I understand the moderation policy is important and should be enforced but the rules of the game must be clear. The suggestions for templates and the use of the AI have been very helpful. I typically start off with the suggestions and then add to it to make it fit what my company needs are for my training videos. The lip sync is still not where it needs to be with the avatars - they are making improvements, but I still am not comfortable using a full screen avatar in my videos because the lip sync is distracting. It needs more English/US voices and avatars - the majority of the avatars are foreign and so it's not as relatable. I've tried several applications in the past, for those times they were interesting new things but
a little funny and unreal, nothing in comparison to Synthesia.
The system isEasy to use and growing and expanding. Customer support is highly skilled and always available.
The system could represent a cost for who is just having fun but for professionals and bloggers chances to surprise customers are high.

Utilizing state of the art technology in AI text to speech AND video generator to create content. Being able to take your ideas and key parts of the content (or script) and assigning different images/videos to create visual associations. All tools seem pretty intuitive and editing is easy.

The only downside experience is if a video so happens to have not met standards, (outside of restricted content) that the entire video is flagged and then deleted. If someone had put a tremendous amount of time and effort into editing and creating the video, and to have it deleted due to technical reasons, it is pretty discouraging. What stands out most about Synthesia is how incredibly easy and efficient it makes creating professional-looking videos without the need for traditional filming or editing. Fo me, the best feature of Synthesia is the text to voice. If partiuclar I'm impressed with the accuracy of the range of British accents and tones.
These can be used in Synthesia videos or exported as mp3 files to voice over other assets.
I stated using Synthesia in Nov 23, and since then there has been a marked improvement in the quality of material that can be produced.
I like the built in streaming hosting in addition be being able to download.

I find the flow of speech does not contain natural pauses, so I have to manaully insert delays.
