What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

Sumo Logic is an IAAS search service - that's it's best feature. Anyone who has had to administrate an on-premise log analytics platform knows what a god send having a hosted solution is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?

The Sumo Logic query language is sometimes difficult to use when trying to do more sophisticated searches. Multi-tenancy may lead to long search times when many other customers are using the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Sumo Logic:

Do analyze your search requirements. Sumo Logic handles most of the search analytics tasks for 80% of people. However, you need to enumerate your requirements to make sure you're not in the 20% of people. In that case, you'll probably need to go with the other "S" company. With respect to the query language, I have shared your feedback with our Product team. I also wanted to share that we have a free certification program which is a great way to learn more about queries in Sumo Logic, even the more sophisticated/advanced queries. In particular, the Search Mastery certification is one I think you'll find value in. With regard to search times, you should not expect long search times as a result of other customers in the system. There are many factors that can influence search performance however, so I would recommend that we take a look at the specific scenarios/queries with you. What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

Sumo is incredibly fast and responsive to even the biggest of search parameters. I'm typically multi-tasking and it keeps up with every request I send its way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

Sumo logic makes it easy to monitor logging across multiple nodes. The querying language is very useful for searching amongst said logs. In addition, there is an api that allows remote queries to return responses to a requesting script or query interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?

Cannot save the results of a search somewhere (even temporarily) to the site. It must be downloaded as a file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
