What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

It has feature to trigger alerts on some predefined condition. We utilized this feature to trigger KPI alerts and to trigger outage alerts.

What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?

We don like log file viewing capability. Other application such as Splunk has better feature to view snap

What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

It is faster than Splunk. I like the shared dashboards feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?

Some of the default settings are a bit annoying and not immediately obvious how to change (e.g. log out after 15 minutes) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to look at a timeline of actions across different servers. Being able to build dashboards that give us insight into customer patterns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Barrier for entry sometimes is high. Takes time to be able to build interesting queries and with so many filters things can be confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is very user friendly to analyse the logs. We can filter out on alomost every aspect and narrow down the logs which helps in solving problems quicker Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My name is Matt Sullivan. I'm a Technical Account Manager with our Customer Success team here at Sumo Logic. Great news that you're finding Sumo Logic easy to use and that your mean time to identify and resolve issues (MTTI/MTTR) are accelerated. This is music to our ears!

In the modern era, with real-time decision making the norm, I appreciate that any delay from an event happening to you having visibility into it is undesirable. I'd have to know more about your collection method and data sources to give specific advice on making improvements. With an installed collector and local logs, we typically see messages available in Live Tail within 10 seconds, real time alerts and live dashboards within 30 seconds, and other dashboards/queries 1-3 minutes as they go through the full indexing sequence. If you are seeing numbers that don't align with these, please do open a Support ticket and we will be happy to investigate further.

My name is Matt Sullivan. I'm a Technical Account Manager with the Customer Success team here at Sumo Logic. Flexibility is a core tenet of the platform and I'm happy that you noticed. I'm also glad that you provided us with specific, actionable areas for improvement. Sorry if you've struggled at all with building out field extraction rules (FERs). I totally understand they can be a challenge to build and test for robustness.

I want to be sure that you are aware we now have a community based repo at https://github.com/SumoLogic/sumologic-content for devs to share content that goes beyond the built-in apps. In many cases, the folders contain FERs, but it's fair to say not always. Your concept of "auto detect" is spot on, and aligns very well with the product roadmap.
