What do you like best about Sumo Logic?

I've found the query language pleasant to use and fairly powerful. Being able to save queries into dashboards, and get periodic email alerts is also really useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?

Complex queries (like joins) are very slow. Learning curve is a little steep for query language, hard to find documentation for how to do something new. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having a central location for logs from our cloud distributed components, along with a powerful query language has been key in being able to quickly diagnose system issues and reach internal activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sumo is an endlessly-customizable way to quickly access what I need from my company's extensive server logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sumo's character limits do sometimes cut off information that I need from particular logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sumo's intuitive interface allows frontline support reps at my company to access a vast array of data to solve customer requests at lightning speed. No need for long waits to request logs from engineering teams, and no need to pull off engineers off their projects to help troubleshoot customer issues in most cases. It is easy to look for a particular log and do different type of aggregation on the result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a limit on the number of days you can go back. But this limitation depends on the subscription model your company is following. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It sounds as if you're hitting some performance bottlenecks on the longer timespans. I want to be sure you are aware of Scheduled Views (SVs) per https://help.sumologic.com/?cid=5007 which were designed for this use case. If you're having troule implementing an SV, or if you have one, but are still finding it slow to query, please reach out to your account team and we can align someone to lend a hand.
