What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane has created a completely new way for us to showcase the value of our product to clients and prospects. The platform is intuitive and easy to use. One of the things I like about it is that there are a number of applications that we are exploring from website, product launches, events, training and support, and Sales outreach.

There are a number of embedding and sharing options that make distribution seamless for sales outreach, events, and email campaigns.

The customer support team is also fantastic. The team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. Overall, Storylane has significantly improved our demo experience and buyer engagement. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their product demonstrations! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There's nothing I dislike. Storylane is one of those products where you say "I wonder if it does that.." or "it would be great if I could..." only to find out that it can. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane is solving the challenge of creating engaging, interactive product demos without requiring a lot of resources. With Storylane, we can easily create no code, guided demos that allow prospects to explore our product at their own pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

I love how easy it is to create demos quickly. This is extremely helpful as our product changes constantly, and I can update the demos simply by updating the screenshots used. It's very easy to implement and I always get a quick answer from support. We use it regularly and have worked it into our in-app experience. We also have it integrated with Hubspot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There is not much that I dislike. If anything, there are a few features that could be updated around the creation of demos, specifically around formatting and making sure it's consistent throughout your library of demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

We wanted to create an empty stage experience of our product with minimum engineering work since our product is always updating. Users can now explore the product after signing up for our trial. We also use it regularly for feature launches and have been creating a library of features that educate our users on the value of our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Seeing the power of Storylane's interactive demos was a gamechanger for us. The moment I first created a product demo and saw how easy it was to generate through their browser extention, I knew this would be a big value add for us.

While many teams may be using Storylane for Marketing or Sales demos, we are using it in our Support team to provide easy educational guides for customers. Instead of having to read through a long knowledge base article, customers can easy click through a guided demo with Storylane. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

When creating demos with multiple chapters, it can be a bit cumbersome. I have resorted to recording each chapter and saving in a folder "Demo Sources" and then in a separate folder is where we keep the full demos. From those demos I have to pull the content from the Demo sources to create a multi-chaptered demo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane helps us improve customer education and self service. Since starting to use their interactive demos with our customers, we have noticed a reduction overall in the number of live chats and emails that our Support team is handling for the topics covered in the demos we have made. What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane is very lighweight and the ability to embed demos in landing pages, emails and via personalized links is truly game changing. Very easy to implement, we were able to start building out landing pages and email sequences, including the demos, within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The pricing tiers are not perfect, I would prefer if code demos we're included at the starter level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a few key challenges:

1. Making our demo accessible, having a link to a demo page or portal from a landing page or email is a poor UX, so being able to embed a version of it directly in the content is huge for us.

2. Adding context, our product has nuance and so the ability to add tooltips and provide more context makes the demo much more valuable for prospects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane has been an invaluable addition to my job role in my company. It's made service delivery and troubleshooting easy, and has proven to be a fast favourite with the clients that contact me for support. The storylane features are plentiful and inuitive, allowing me to create bespike demonstrations and training storylanes with ease. I particularly enjoy how easy it is to add additional slides to exisiting demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

I dont have very much negatives to add for Storylane; I would like to see a way to test the HTML demos without needing to book an online demonstration of the product. My only negative is that I can't trial more features without speaking to someone first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane has saved me a lot of time with Teams meetings now that I can create a demonstration and send the link across to the client. The benefits I've experienced is that I no longer get repeated questions on how something works as they can save the storylane and view whenever they need to. What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane is INCREDIBLY easy to implement right from the get go. As someone who works in customer success, this tool allows me to share clear, interactive demos that are super easy to read and look on brand.

I use this tool almost every day, and their support team is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

This isn't storylanes fault, but I wish their HTML Demo worked on our product, but due to how our tool is built, we unfortunately couldn't take Storylane to the next level, but it does plenty for us now with thier screenshot demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the problems storylane is solving for us is giving out customers a quick visual demo that they can easily share with their team. This demo highlights our key features, and organizes them in a way that allows our viewers to see the feature flow that catches their attention first.

The other big problem they are solcing is content for our help center. While we can be super detailed with written documentation, nothing beats a seemingly interactive demo that catches the viewers eyes and holds their attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

- Easy to pull together walkthroughs and demos based on screenshots

- Easy to collaborate across the team

- Great insights on engagement and usage by customers and prospects

- Very intuitive and fast to unlock value

- Surprisingly versatile - we've had good success also using the demos for our Release Notes and technical Product docs (not a core Storylane proposition but still works really nicely)

- Continuing to innovate and deliver new capabilities and features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

When you build a lot of demos it can be a little bit challenging to keep these really organised; probably also more of a process topic to be aware of internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane helps us to show how users can move through our product to unlock value. We don't currently have easy free trial capability, but Storylane is bridging the gap so users don't have to "imagine" what life using Product would look like, because they can actually see use-cases and capabilities in a step-by-step visualisation. What do you like best about Storylane?

This ease of use, ability to upload/capture content and then put it into a presentation that's easy to follow, intuitive and offers amazing tracking and links per prospect so I know who's engaged. I've tried to use several presentation tools and they are always overly complicated. Storylane took me just 20-30 minutes to create any pitch intro with full graphics, transitions, screen shots, animated graphics, videos and focus areas and the AI generated voice overs are amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Some of the call to action options are a little limited (IE you can only ask for someones name/email, not company name, title, website, etc.) but you could redirect people to your own lead capture forms. It's also a little difficult if you pick a certain type of guide (like the text modul) you can't switch to back to the others. The focus feature is a bit limited also, would like to be able to move it and size it more if possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane helps us deliver 1st intro story telling on our solution that has the "wow" factor that we need in order to gain the interest of prospects that don't react well to only messaging requests for discussion. I think you have to provide some sort of intro/experience content in order to honor your prospects and provide them with a sense of what you're reaching out for. I also use this to reach out to past contacts and share updates that used to take me 30 minutes each contact in order to deliver any content. Just sending a PDF or presentation is OK but being able to provide the voice over with focus elements, easy navigation to the areas they want to know more about, etc. is a much better way to not only have impact but relate to the diversity of your prospects consumption styles. Some people care about price instantly, some about features, some about compatibility, some about why/benefits. With Storylane you can build a demo navigation that allows them to jump around and meet their informational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

I first started usinh Storylane a couple of years ago and it has since become one my the go to tools in my pmm tech stack.

-> I like how easy it is to create screenshot demos just by clicking around the product

-> They also let you show demos on mobile devices, and choose if you want to bypass the “screen too small” warning

-> I also like the GIF feature which I mainly use to add clickable tours to our PPT decks and onboarding emails

-> There's AI assisted translation too which comes in handy

-> They roll out new features constantly

-> It's very easy to get started + teach other people how to create tours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Nothing significant comes to mind, the product keeps getting better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Storylane to create clickable product tours for a variety of purposes, including:

Launching new features: These tours help internal teams and customers learn what’s new.

Giving sales early demo of an upcoming product: The fact that you can create a Storylane from screenshots means I can use mockups to create a tour and give sales and prospects a sneak-peek of how something will work, long before it's available in production.

Explaining features: Embedding tours on feature pages makes it easier for visitors to understand how things work.

Sales slides: Our sales deck now uses Storylane tours instead of static screenshots. The GIFs show how features work and are much more effective.

Testing for better conversions: I use tours on pages like the homepage to see if showing instead of telling improves conversion rates.

Showcasing use cases: For example, creating tours that guide users through specific tasks like, “Want to do XYZ? Here’s how this feature helps.”

Replacing onboarding videos: Storylane tours are quick to update (just minutes) and are embedded on our site and in onboarding emails, saving us the hassle of creating and editing videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane offers a user friendly way to build training and demonstration videos for perspective and current clients. Videos look professional and have proven to be much more efficient than any other video editor I have used in the past. This gives me the ability to provide more support to our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The thorn in my side with Storylane at the moment is that you cannot add voiceovers to video clips. As of right now you can only add voiceover script to the flat slides. It would help a lot of the video clips could contain voiceovers as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Storylane is solving the issue of spending hours creating training and demo videos. It cuts time spent performing demo's manually by using storylane videos instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
