Spot AI Pros and Cons

Spot AI has many helpful smart AI features, such as the counting of people and/or cars in a certain area, the ability to make cases and attach videos to the cases, the ability to follow a specific individual through multiple cameras, and so much more.

They consistantly listen to feedback, add new features, and provide training for these features, such as comparative dashboards to compare AI data from one location to another.

Spot AI is also easy to set up, easy to use, and easily intergrates into your business. Even if you have an older DVR, you can connect that to your Spot AI appliance in order to access the footage online.

As an IT Tech, I use the cameras frequently, and reach out to customer support a lot. They are always readily avalible to help and always come up with solutions to fix the issues in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spot AI can be a bit expensive, but a lot of the features make up for this.

Would be nice to have a built in DHCP router in the Spot Appliance itself.

Spot A.I. tracks and saves numerous data points that help the overall operation of our business. Utilizing multi-platform layouts it has never been as easy to access the information to share with the team on a daily hourly basis. The software also hosts video feeds for easy sharing where file size causes issues and makes it difficult to do business at times. Spot AI is great. We can have access to all of our locations from one platform and see them all at once or each location separately. We are a new installation so we're likely still tweaking the system. We are waiting for the system to stabilize, we seem to have an issue with one of our IVRs. When the system is stable, will will setup time for training on the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My first install was very difficult as I was trying to mount the cameras first and then put them in the system. So there was a lot of up and down ladders getting them registered on the system and getting them fine tuned. If you put them on the system first and then mount them, it is much easier to fine tune them through the app.

I am not a big fan of how big the IVR's are. We have some locations that dont have a building to install the IVR at, so I have to install weatherproof boxes that are big enough for the size of the IVR's plus all of other network components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use!

This ease includes from the installation right through to the end user experience. Nothing could be more comprehensive, yet intuitive and easy to use. Initial setup is straight forward and technicians were very helpful in getting Spot.ai to work with even pretty old existiing cameras that hadn't worked properly for years. Tested system with numerous different cameras and they all worked, even when some cameras were over 100 miles away and connected through a VPN tunnel. This system gets used every day.
