SoftLedger Pros and Cons

Would everything be a good answer?

This review is so past overdue that I do not know where to start....

Here's my abridged version....

1. Customer Service is absolutely exemplary. Quick responses. Detailed tutorials. Custom workarounds. Seriously amazing.

2. Crypto Transactions module is a masterpiece. They have off-the-shelf coin reporting. Custom coin management. You can track cost-basis, coin movement, realized gain/loss, unrealized gain/loss and even itemized transaction journal entries.

3. Softledger handles changes, adjustments, cost-basis and gain/loss recalculations with ease.

4. They have FX exchange, Intercompany functions, parent/sub relationships.

5. Between the Journal Report and the Crypto Transactions I can find any information that I could possibly want.

Overall, as a company, we are extremely happy that we went with Softledger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. There is currently no payment batching which affects the bank recon. However, all the payments still appear so we can still reconcile with relative ease even without it and it is currently being developed as I type this.

2. There accounts payable module does not support crypto payments but it is also in the pipeline to be available in the future.

It is easy to understand and generate all sorts of accounting reports.

It is a complete package or a full suite with all accounting processes streamlined and automated. So it helps in all accounting entries and till the point of creating a balance sheet in the end Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is hardly anything to dislike in it.

It's simple to use, user friendly and it's fast , it just takes less than half of time as compared to previous product we used . It's a good value for money I'd say Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Interactive UI and Insights provides the best experience. Tools like budgeting, consolidation, payroll processing and revenue recognition help all the respective departments. AR and AP analysis tools and mechanism are icing on the cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As it is a technology based,might be a bit complicated to understand in the starting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a trained accountant, I love Softledger. It provides a clean, simple and effective way to record your accounting entries and keep them straight. It doesn't provide a lot of handholding like some other systems and that's fine with me. A lot of those systems get too creative in their approach and can be more confusing if you are familiar with double-entry accounting. SoftLedger strips away all the fluff and gives the accountant effective control over the books. I needed very little training to get up and running in the program. Ben Taylor, the CEO, and his support team are very responsive if you do have any questions and are working hard to make the program even more effective. One of the few forward-thinking companies to address the proper handling and booking of more advanced issues like crypto-assets, multiple currencies, and intercompany accounting. Highly recommended. More things I'd like to see rather than dislikes. It's still a young company and the build-out of some tools still needs to be done. Integrations with other systems are minimal although here again, if you know what you are doing, SoftLedger does provide webhooks so you can "roll your own." Likewise, more reports are very basic but you do have the ability to write custom reports. Finally, while the audit trail is comprehensive, more robust reconciliation tools would be appreciated. These are all "nice to have" items though; the fundamental system is very complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
