Friendly UI, easy to operate, comprehensive features, it's the small details that we liked about Smartlead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loading sometimes takes toooo long, need to refresh the inboxes manually as they didn't fetch new email in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Smartlead's support team has been really helpful and responsive for us when we need to use the platform. I'm also a big fan of their innovtion with helpful features to help tackle the deliverability issues happening in the past few weeks, such as their new Smart Delivery feature! Something else that's really cool for the tech geeks is the flexibility of Smartlead's API, which has allowed us to setup multiple Agency operations with Make.com and Airtable. I havent had a bad experience or dislikes, only thing that comes to my mind is the once-in-a-while bug that can naturally spring up in the software which usually gets quickly fixed by the incredible support tem! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that you can set up as many inboxes as you want to warm and send from for a very low flat rate per month. It's made our outreach so much more efficient. Their API is also fantastic to automate workflows with. Easy to get started with their done for you inbox set up as well. I use the platform every day. It easily integrates with any tool we need because of their API and webhook features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is probably just an issue we see but sometimes it can load slowly but I also push more volume and inboxes than a regular user (we have 62k inboxes at the time of this writing) so I am on the edge here for sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) The tech is cutting edge for specialized cold emailing
2) The API is reasonably designed
3) Dedicated IP addresses Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been lied to about feature roadmaps many times, also the customer support has gotten much worse over time. Some basic enterprise friendly features such as security controls (if you use this system any of your staff can download your entire leads database with a mouse click! This can't be disabled). Also any staff member can block entire domains, delete data, and all kinds of other malicious stuff. No way to turn this off.
In addition they have not built a useful analytics system whatsoever. You still can only pull data for 5 campaigns at a time and plenty of the data is missing from the data set.
This stuff matters and they haven't implemented it in 3 years of operations. It's starting to become a real problem and I don't know if I could recommend this to any org who cares about security and data integrity. It feels like their primary target customer is 1 person agencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cannot speak to the cold email campaign yet. Only Email Warm UP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Email warm up list is garbage! Hi bounce rate (not shown in health report). I started at 5 emails per day to ramp up to 50 per day by 2 weeks. Betwwen all my email boxes, I have averaged about 30 sent emails per account so far and have a bounce ratio of 4-5 emails per account. They do not have a clean list. Support tried to convince me this is normal and I should report each bounce. Kind of defeats the purpose of a warm up service vs manual warmup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was recently havig an issue with some of the done for you email accounts. It wasn't an issue with the smartlead team as much as it was with the third party provider they work with. Akash, despite being one of the most notable people at the company, wasn't too busy to handle an issue for a small client. I think that speaks vlumes about who he is as a person and the company that was created created.
Also, I love watching the videos every week from Akash and V. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a smartlead issue but I wish you could purchase less than 75 emial accounts from mailreef. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After using Smartlead for a couple of years now, I really love the innovation the team is constantly working on. Deliverability has been the best compared to other tools on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The analytics could use some love, at the moment it's not very insightful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Smartlead is a very good marketing automation tool. It helps in sending emails by just setting the automation in the tool. Smartlead can be integrated with other CRM tools to import the data. We can also upload the CSV file of the prospects list in Smartlead. This tool is very user-friendly and we can run the campaigns daily on Smartlead by just setting the campaign settings. Smartlead Master Inbox helps in checking all emails in one place even if the emails are from different campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike about Smartlead. Good features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Literally nothing. It is more expensive than other tools and does not perform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have read a couple of similar reviews and decided to also speak up.
We have been running our campaigns through SmartLead for the past 3.5 months +-.
At first, everything was fine, we got decent results, nothing special.
All of a sudden. Our results plummet as we start a second campaign. FYI, we had 6 emails and at the time the reputation according to SmartLead was close to 100% for all of them.
Now just so this doesn't end up in a book-long rant about how bad the software is and ESPECIALLY the Customer Support, here are our current results of our active campaign:
3,457 sent - 22 replied(2%) -19 bounced(1.74%)
I have personally been battling with customer support for weeks - they blame ESP, our my copy, or spam words, or missing spintax.
Our copy is short, we send it as plain HTML, we have checked the spam words internally via SmartLead and externally via MailMeteor, we use spintax in every stage, every variant.
Do not use this software. Customer Support is the most useless thing they have as they only blame external factors that they have no ability to change or send you a blog post link with a 'common issue'.
Use snov, or instantly, or brevo, or klaviyo. just not this garbage.
Additionally, their software is very buggy, every third time I open a campaign I cant see my sequence or other tabs, very clunky and just bad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about Smartlead is that it's really built for scale. Easy to manage thousands of email accounts, multiple campaigns. Super nice being able to whitelabel for clients as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the UI could be a bit nicer looking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The feature set that they claim to have appears to be solid and tricked me into buying it. It claims to work as a standard email marketing tool but fails in many ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They product is so insanely buggy, and the support is next to useless. Basic features like email warming, properly sequencing emails, syncing with CRM, app notifications, email formatting - all features Smartlead markets and claims work, do not work as advertised and their support will constantly blame the ESPs (when other competing solutions do not have similar issues).
I thought I was able to implement it quickly, but then it turned out their warming feature wasn't doing anything, because I saw that my emails from a new account were being bounced but SmartLead claimed they had 100% deliverability (which was impossible considering most emails were bouncing). Makes it clear their claims to remove emails from spam folders were likely false as well.
The amount of error popups I see in the tool when doing anything, including importing contacts, updating sequences, or anything in normal use is insane and impoosible to keep up with. Using this tool is exhausting on many levels.
For each of the noted problems above, I had to reiteratre the bugs many times with documentation to support, and easily spent 10+ hours / month showing the problems with support who took many cycles to try to understand the issues, and at the end they would never address any core usubility issues.
I have never had a more frustrating experience with a piece of software and can't wait to fully remove it from my stack once my sequences are done with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
