Smarter Ecommerce has taken our Google Ads management to a completely new level. We are particularly impressed by the AI-supported optimization based on real business metrics like POAS, CLV, and margin – instead of just focusing on pure ROAS. This makes a huge difference in profitability for us as an e-commerce retailer with over 20,000 products.

**What do you dislike about Smarter Ecommerce?**

We don't see any really serious weaknesses – the platform essentially delivers exactly what it promises. However, we did notice a few minor points:

The range of functions is very extensive, especially at the beginning. New users need some time to familiarize themselves before they can really confidently use and take full advantage of all the features (Dynamic Segments, Product Explorer, Bidding Logic). Additional in-app tutorials or short video walkthroughs would, in our view, significantly ease the onboarding process.

There’s very little to dislike, especially considering the consistently strong support and collaborative approach we’ve experienced. If anything being more industry specific with recommendations but this is rarely a problem.

**What do you like best about Smarter Ecommerce?**

Thanks to the tools provided by Smarter Ecommerce, we are effectively reaching our business objectives by optimizing spend and ROAS across our Google campaigns. The support for development and integration with Google CSS is excellent, and the assistance provided is consistently fast and responsive. The platform works reliably — we have never encountered any significant issues. If anything, from a technical and functional standpoint, it is truly ahead of its time. The platform is continuously developed, with one or two new features released every month, some of which turn out to be surprisingly useful. I have the feeling of having a wide range of solid tools at my disposal to analyze data and make more informed, confident decisions. The dashboard interface is intuitive and easy to navigate.
From a business perspective, we are also seeing a strong return on investment: the combination of smarter budget allocation and better campaign control has translated into measurable ROI gains, making Smart Ecommerce a genuinely valuable partner in our performance marketing strategy.

Love its usability and ability to dynamically shift segments dependent on in month requirements. More things to come to help with this too will really help us be reactive in month. The ability to easily switch between many accounts and push changes through that reflect quickly is great.

The integrations are sound, and improving slightly,. Would love to see Microsoft in the platform soon.

ROI is clearly shown and we can run holdout testing to demonstrate this which is great.

Support is strong - we have very strong AMs who are knowledgeable and have run many training sessions with the team.

Not a dislike, but would love to see the ability to dynamically change the weighting within the smart score. Microsoft integration too and then AI powered projection curves so we can have confidence in testing.

What convinces me the most is that we can manage our broad range through dynamic segments and SmartScoreAI according to real business objectives – margin and strategic importance are directly integrated into the bidding. This way, we regain control in PMax, instead of just letting the black box run.

Honestly, I find it difficult to name real disadvantages – most likely, the fact that the range of functions is so extensive that we initially didn't utilize all the insights and control options. However, once you have familiarized yourself with it, you won't want to miss any of them.

Previously, PMax largely operated as a black box with our wide range of products – we could hardly control margins and strategically important products in a targeted manner. I believe we can get better analysis for our tests. Maybe there can be an A/B section in the tool. If we run an A/B test for a campaign, maybe we can get analysis of this test directly from the tools. It would make things easier for us to evaluate the performance of an A/B test because, you know, A/B testing is very important for campaign management.

I can't name anything that I'm not satisfied with in the collaboration.

In the past, we had a variety of marketers and individual placements. Since smec can implement many measures centrally, our time expenditure has significantly reduced. The implementations are carried out from a single source, very strategically and with good recommendations, making our campaigns more efficient. If there are individual placements that do not perform well, we receive this information promptly and have the opportunity to optimize, stop, or shift budgets. The programmatic delivery provides good efficiency in media metrics. Since we can use many tracking and tagging options with Smarter Ecommerce, the campaigns can be played out very targeted. For this good service, Smarter Ecommerce charges a fair compensation.

I like how Smarter Ecommerce helps in segmenting by performance using the neighborhood effect, especially in our recommerce business where each SKU is individual. I find the customer service really great and appreciate the hands-on support. They are always willing to help us try new things and bring new ideas to us. It's also helpful to have another eye on pMax performance because paid search is a one-person team. I learn new things on the calls thanks to their thorough insights.

The pricing model means that it is difficult for us to roll out Smarter Ecommerce across all of our accounts as the cost is based off of ad spend.

I like that the technical system works well and has increased our ROAS. The regular meetings for analysis and identifying optimization areas are great, and I appreciate that they handle account optimization, freeing us to focus on other tasks. The initial setup was very easy, and I value having a fixed point of contact who ensures that the accounts remain at the desired ROAS level. Switching back to Smarter Ecommerce significantly increased our ROAS compared to simpler CSS tools used previously.

What I like most about Smarter Ecommerce is how they simplify an area of digital advertising that’s usually very complex. They’re especially strong at translating business data - like margins or performance targets - into actionable campaign strategies. That makes it much easier to keep spend aligned with real commercial goals, rather than focusing only on traffic metrics. On top of that, the mix of smart technology and hands-on support makes them feel less like just a tool and more like a genuine performance partner.

I like that Smarter Ecommerce, or SMEC, has a system that's super easy to use. The intuitive way you can adjust dynamic segments to push more key products or pull back on others is really convenient. I find it very easy to build new dynamic segments and push key products for the business quickly and efficiently. Just dragging the priorities makes it all easy as well.

**What do you dislike about Smarter Ecommerce?**

The only thing is the product segments in the categories, I also think it's an issue on our side, but some of the campaigns pull in skincare products into, say, Makeup. These don't match the category, however, this doesn't hinder performance.

There's nothing to particularly dislike about Smarter Ecommerce. Some of the team have had previous challenges with the UI, however this was quickly sorted through training with our team.
