"Easy Communication, Needs Better Video Features"
What do you like best about Slack?

I find Slack so easy to use, which makes communication smooth with colleagues and suppliers. The friendly, fun, and cool branding is a significant plus for me, unlike the more corporate feel of MS Teams. I appreciate the instant chat feature, which is essential for quick communication. The Slack apps for internal tooling are valuable, and I use Canvas for notes and lists. The ability to integrate our platform with Slack and push messages into channels and direct messages adds to its utility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I find the video quality in Huddles not as good as Google Meet. It's frustrating that Huddles can't be recorded or transcribed on our plan. Also, I can't remote control screens like I can with Zoom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable for Team Communication, Needs Stability Improvements"
What do you like best about Slack?

I use Slack extensively for communication and team management. It allows me to communicate with teammates, share screenshots about problems, get on calls—both video and audio—at any time, and discuss projects. Slack is very intuitive for mapping out strategies and sharing information. I really appreciate its reliability for team calls and management. I like the ability to bookmark messages anytime, and the search feature is invaluable for retrieving important information from past conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Yeah. Sometimes, I think there's just some net issue. So platform issue that things just go down. It doesn't come up or as reliable as you want it, and then you are unable to get stuff done that you really need to get done or going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Team Communication and Integration"
What do you like best about Slack?

I use Slack for communication within the organization, and it really solves my communication issues within the team by allowing me to create channels and groups for different projects, enabling me to track things on my own. I like its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use. I also enjoy integrating Slack with other software like Geekbot, which helps in many ways, such as asking every team member for daily updates. The integration capabilities and UX were key factors in switching from Microsoft Teams to Slack. Setting it up was super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The search in Slack needs us to remember exact keywords, which can be improved as AI evolves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack Makes Group Channel Collaboration Smooth and Easy"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is very smooth and easy to use, especially when working with group channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

1. Notification Overload

With constant pings from channels, threads, mentions, and connected apps, Slack can start to feel overwhelming—especially in larger teams.

2. Too Many Channels

Over time, workspaces can get cluttered with dozens (or even hundreds) of channels, which makes it difficult to know where the most important conversations are actually happening.

3. Search Limitations (Free Plan)

On Slack’s free plan, message history is limited. That can be frustrating when you need to look up older information or revisit past discussions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Optimal Team Communication and Collaboration with Slack"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is valued for centralizing communication and teamwork in an organized, flexible platform. Channels replace crowded email threads, making conversations easier to follow, more focused, and searchable when you need to find something later.

It also integrates with Google Drive, Zoom, and Trello, which helps users handle files, meetings, and projects in one place instead of jumping between tools.

Real-time chat, strong search, customizable notifications, smooth file sharing, and solid support for remote or hybrid teams are all major advantages. Overall, its structure, integrations, and efficiency make it a highly effective productivity tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slack can feel daunting at times because of the constant stream of messages, the number of channels, and frequent notifications that break my focus. The free plan also limits message history, which makes it hard to look back at earlier conversations, and the fast-paced chat style can leave less room for deep, concentrated work.

Threads can become disorganized, and many advanced capabilities require a paid subscription. Overall, despite its usefulness, Slack can get irritating if it isn’t well organized and notifications aren’t kept under control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack’s Seamless Integrations and Slash Commands Save Serious Time"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack’s integration ecosystem is its biggest win for me. We’ve connected Jira, Google Calendar, and GitHub directly into our workspace, and it all feels seamless. Being able to approve a request or check a status update with a “slash command” without leaving the app saves me at least 30 minutes of context-switching every day. At this point, it’s more than a chat app—it’s the operating system for our entire tech stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Option 1: The "Notification Fatigue" Issue

"The notification management can be overwhelming if you belong to many channels. While the granular controls are good, it’s very easy to develop 'notification anxiety' where you feel pressured to clear every red dot. I’d love to see a more intuitive way for the app to 'batch' non-urgent notifications or a more intelligent 'Do Not Disturb' mode that understands my focus hours better." "Flexible Team Communication, but Switching Between Multiple Accounts Is Slow"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is very handy because I can instantly communicate with colleagues across different working groups. I also like that I can use it on my PC, as well as through the app and the web app. This makes it a flexible tool that keeps me in constant contact with the different teams I work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The only thing I dislike about Slack is how complicated it gets when you have more than one account. For example, I have a personal Slack account and another, more professional one linked to my company email. Switching between the two accounts is terribly slow. "Pros and Cons of Slack."
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack connects with a lot of tools like Google Drive, GitHub etc., which helps me to get the updates from all these tools in a single place. Instead of a single long chat, it uses channels which keeps the discussions focused and makes it easy for us to find the information later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The free version has restrictions like limited message history and only a few advanced features, which can be sometimes frustrating to rely on old conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple UI, Great Integrations, and Helpful AI Features, Best for daily activities"
What do you like best about Slack?

simple UI makes life a lot easier and it has intergrations with almost all the tools that i use daily like Jira, gitlab so its better. Simple AI features makes calls easier if i miss any and i see you can find solutions to your problems in support channel or Q&A which makes it better for linux users. Overall Performance is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The app consumes lot of CPU in linux machines which makes screen sharing and working on terminal causes freeze in my laptop for that i had to change to use WEB UI. Because of this CPU issue i am not able to share screen explain the problems to my team members Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
