The best thing about Slack is that it is a single place where I can get updates about my work, I can chat with people, I can get notifications for my meeting events as well and I can see a preview of my work.
There are a lot of features of Slack, one of which is webhooks which allows us to send alarm notifications from AWS to our channels. This makes our work very easy.

Sometimes I have seen that Slack notification sounds are disabled automatically on my laptop. However, with a laptop restart, it gets fixed. I don't know maybe this is a bug with Slack or my laptop but it's not a big thing.
However, Slack has no other disadvantages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am using Slack for the last five years while working in the software industry, and it’s been a great tool for my team. It’s easy to talk to my team using channels, which keeps everything organized. The best part is that it works well with other tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, and Cube APM. I can also share code, documents, and other files quickly. Slack is more than just a messaging app—it’s a helpful tool for teamwork and getting things done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
over the time i am using slack the i got few things I don’t like. First, it can be expensive for small teams, especially when you need features like unlimited message history. Second, when sharing more than just text—like programming code .It sometimes struggles to handle the formatting properly, making it harder to share and manage code snippets with the team. Slack is definitely almost made mandatory for the e-commerce-logistics software solution, establishing a working milieu for efficient communication among all users in the team. Real-time messaging and dedicated channels allow for instant coordination of tracking updates, speedy resolution of possible delivery exceptions, and enhanced customer service. The efficient and timely coordination for very big shipments depends on this enhanced cooperation to enhance operational efficiencies. An indispensable tool in an ever-demanding logistics world-Slack! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack is great for communicating in real time, but the sheer number of messages sometimes be too much to handle. It would be advantageous to have more detailed notification controls, either with improved filtering or longer channel snooze choices. Additionally, usefulness for our hectic logistical operations would be much improved by enhancing the search tool to retrieve previous talks quickly, particularly inside crowded channels. Since I've been using Slack for three months or so, it's essentially become a must for team communication. It's what keeps us all linked as a remote team, which includes me. Slack's ability to keep things organized and accessible is what I appreciate most about it. The channels are revolutionary since everything is clearly divided into teams, projects, and themes, making it very simple to concentrate on what is now important. Additionally, the search feature is excellent! I can search through old discussions, files, and texts without losing anything. When you're working on several projects at once, it's incredibly effective to manage everything in one location. Additionally, you may automate a process or create a flow. The possibility of notification overload is what I find objectionable about Slack. When you're part of a number of channels or teams, it can feel like you're constantly getting pings, even when you're not actively engaging in a conversation. Particularly if you're trying to concentrate or if you're working in various time zones and things are happening while you're offline, it could be a bit much. Even if I make a lot of effort to use "Do Not Disturb" mode, there seems to be a constant buzzing noise in the background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack makes everything simple with its channels and direct messages option. It is amazing how you can reply in a single message as a thread and also how you can assign people as VIP. I love Huddles, it is outstanding that you can talk to someone without having to create a meeting, share links, etc. Code and Code block features while you are composing a message are the best! The app occasionally hangs.
There are issues with the huddle feature, making the web version a more reliable option at times.
The app version has some bugs, such as redirecting to the web version instead of the app during sign-in. Additionally, it requires daily sign-ins if the laptop is powered off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
