What do you like best about Slab?

The learning curve for Slab is quick. In no time, I was able to create topics and posts for my team to share with the rest of the company. The interface and layout are intuitive to follow. This has made adoption easy for our employees. I also love the search feature. Every time I search for a topic, it's found immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

I have come across any frustrations yet. I've been using it for about nine months and have created at least 20 posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slab enables us to share searchable information in one place. We no longer need to search through docs and Slack posts to find the information we're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

Slab works the way I think. It allows for really easy authoring, tagging, searching, and editing of posts. It loads lightning-fast and is easy to browse as well. I especially like the activity stream and integrations with Slack, which is critical to our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

Most of the problems I have with Slab aren't Slab's fault at all. Mainly getting my team to keep posts updated, which is more of an internal team thing than a technology thing. We're improving, though! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slab helps us share knowledge, communicate policies and guidelines, brain-dump information for future retrieval, track important checklists (like app launch checklists), share data with clients, and a lot more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

Quickly putting together articles in a structured environment, easy to read, and able to interface with other platforms for diagrams, drawings, etc. having an access control for different departments /jobs in my company ** I think that having a structured documentation/access/ search is the strongest quality of Slab ** Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

having issues sometimes when copying sections and inserting text with different sizes. not enough flexibility/options with text sizes and fonts -(seems to be too much of "HTML restricted" ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hosting documentation in a structured way - WE are able to set a standard that helps our employees in forming/reading/understanding documents as well as access and search optionws Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

I am a huge fan of how neat the user interface is! You can create extensive articles to capture in the software that is easily navigated with subtopics out to the side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

If an article is too long you will begin to experience significant issues with performance. Our firm noticed that if we put too many screenshots or sections into these articles, that you could even get to the point to where they were no longer accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is solving the training issue for us and has provided us with a repository for supporting workpapers used in completing our analyses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

Slab has a clean interface and is straightforward to use. Many of their competitors are over the top, complex, and have unnecessary features. That creates a barrier to entry and a more significant learning curve. Slab keeps things simple and focuses on productivity instead of learning to use the tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

I never like pricing modules where you pay by the user. I would prefer if their plans had user ranges so we don't have to focus on how many users are signed up at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slab enable us to have all of our documentation in one place. We don't have to search for the documentation through our massive file directory. We can also have multiple people editing documents at the same time, view the change history of each document, and have strict permissions in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

The ability to be fluid and to collaborate makes SLAB different than other platforms. It is also incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate. It used to be our policy manual was online in PDF, but now we can update our policies as quickly as they change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

There are no checks and balances to prevent other teams from posting policies or processes that might already exist or would need to cross reference something else. Perhaps adding some AI that prompts someone to see if they want to link to posts that have similar content would be possible to add? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Maintaining a repository for all policies and processes so they can be accessed easily. Knowledge Management is at its best when it is easily accessible and shared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

1) Requires almost no training except for some knowledgebase 101, and Slab's online articles about that are good and allow new users to get up to speed quickly.

2) really hit our sweet spot of solid capabilities vs ease of use vs price Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

Tables are usable but need work.

Could use some type of tagging or categorization system for internal workflows like #revisit or #update.

A nice-to-have would be to see what users are searching for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were previously documenting processes, learnings, and policies across many Google Docs, and finding the right information in the right document was difficult. Slab's structure made it easy to organize this information into something coherent, and its ease of use means that people actually use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

Slab provides a centralized repository of documentation for all business processes and logic. It works exceptionally well for sharing process and knowledge across a team, and does so with many features to optimize the organization and structure of these documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

Slab has previously left some features to be desired in writing math and code and making diagrams within documents, but they are quickly improving in all of these areas with recent updates for Tex support and various diagram tool integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slab provides a single central point of reference for business process and documentation. It hosts everything from our code run books to important HR details and policy. It makes all of this easily searchable and well organized and indexed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1: Pop-up modals to read/review embedded slabs within slabs, this saves time navigating between interlinks

2: Embeddable videos and miro boards

3: Good content mapping UI to sort topics, sub-topics and slab series

4: Slack integration makes accessing slabs or slab updates easier

What do you dislike about Slab?

1: Can become a black hole of outdated or duplicate information if not managed or administrated properly

2: Tables need a makeover. The UI is clunky

3: Incorporating some form of LLM into your product would help with doc writing (See Notion)

4: Pricing at scale could be better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

1: Process, technical or strategic documentation

2: Enablement and onboarding

3: Source of truth for some operations or experiments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slab?

It's easy to use and easy to edit. Finding information in the search bar it takes the key terms. Haven't used hashtag but I know it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slab?

Dislike... overall Iike so I can't really speak bad about the system. In the office we're organized so I like the content tree. Maybe the only thing that I dislike is that maybe anyone can edit but it's good that anyone can do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slab solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easy to find information. At the office we have to be self-taught; the only problem is keeping up with all the information we have to use and learn. Always, every organization has to be organized to properly create a table of content Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
