What do you like best about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

The most helpful thing about Skilljar was the way you could create modules from a number of different types of content: video, PDF, interactive quizzes, etc. I also loved the help and support you get from your AM when standing up your site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

I think the biggest areas of improvement are streamlining the UI /UX so it's more intuitive and adding more analytics and data to track the effectiveness of the courses. Having more beautiful "out of the box" design templates could also be useful for those teams that don't have in-house design support or can't afford to get design consultants/contractors. What problems is Skilljar Customer Education Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

In Clever’s history, customer training had always been decentralized–leaving it up to school districts, application partners, or our Customer Success reps to do the heavy lifting. Most of the time, training was expensive and varied widely.

Without a scalable way to train customers on our product, many great features went unnoticed and unused, leading to less value. A lack of user education also often manifested itself in increased help desk tickets and frustrated users. In a recent report from Education Week, teachers cited that fewer than 50% of them receive training on how to implement edtech in the classroom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

Skilljar is committed to quality in everything they do. The Skilljar product is well-built and constantly improving. They take me seriously if they don't have a feature I need. I have seen one of my needed features be vetted, explored, and produced within in a matter of months from my request. I recognize that they can't do this for every need. Still, I bring this experience up to illustrate how much they value their customers by providing a highly functional, high quality product. What do you like best about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

Skilljar has a lot of good features that make managing your education experience easy, especially after the initial setup. We can easily manage our live and self-paced training offerings from a central place, track our learners progress, get data for our leadership team, and create a cute, branded experience for our customers to immerse themselves in. What do you dislike about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

There are a lot of good features that are just missing some extra cherry-on-top functionality. My main gripes are currently slated to be potentially worked on, but I'll mention them regardless - lack of multi-day live events, navigation is wonky and hard to find certain settings, lack of easy customization for the web side of things and for the lessons. Provides the ability to offer self-serve training at scale. It integrates with Credly, Stripe, ChurnZero, Salesforce and provides SSO integration. It has the ability to provide certification programs and digital badging so users can share their accomplishments on social media. LMS is solid. They are super willing to share tools to enhance your customer's learning journey without having to pay for professional services unless you want to have them do the work for you. Support is incredible and IMO most important, you get GOOD and solid answers from them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

The quizzes are OK but I would like to see more options. They've been improving analytics, which is good, since I can't afford the CMDB connector. I wish I knew about their role/scopes because the non-enterprise subscription doesn't have the role/scope permissions I'd like. That's been a little difficult for managing permissions for my other users. Then again, most of the work I do, so who cares right? There are a couple of ILT issues I've had where I'd like for a bit more flexibility, but that might just be because we handle training differently than others. What problems is Skilljar Customer Education Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Delivering training content to users - what an LMS does - and we really need to get more out to our customers. We only had a KB previously and it just wasn't enough. It has also been a very good ILT/VILT training platform. Frankly, it has gone beyond our expectations because now we have a single point of contact customers are using more and more. What do you like best about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

The platform is incredibly customizable and even has an API for automating tasks such as third party badging. More than anything, the Skilljar onboarding team is incredible - they set us up for success and proactively checked in with us for months, giving us constant advice on how to better our student experience. Skilljar helps teams actualize their customer/internal education goals in a highly user-friendly way. The ability to group learners and set up custom automating grouping rules creates a very granular analytics report that has helped us act on optimizing our content. The flexibility of the platform has enabled us to set up "observer" users, such that we can enable third-party educators to view their students' progress in our learning content. What do you like best about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

The platform is built with customer education in mind, so it is easy to deploy to an external audience. They also have a comprehensive Salesforce integration, which allows us to combine learner data with customer data in the CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skilljar Customer Education Platform?

There are some limitations in the lesson types and types of quiz questions. The in-app analytics aren't terrific, but we're getting around that through SFDC integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Skilljar gives us all the features we need to build our customer learning platform. It gives us plenty of options for creating our instructor-led courses and self-paced classes for customer training, with all the options you'd need. It provides a wide variety of lesson types for self-paced courses like you might expect, SCORM, video, text-based courses, etc. Also appreciate the analytics that are available. The interface is occasionally challenging to navigate and not super intuitive. Settings you might expect to be in one menu location might be in a completely different part of the platform, so knowing where to go can occasionally be a challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
