The only thing I can think of is that we are unable to create the letters on our own. But customer support is very fast with producing the letter templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were able to upload all necessary data such as prior compensation history and compensation bands, which allowed managers to make informed decisions for their team. The support we received was responsive and we were able to provide comprehensive training prior to inviting managers. Equity, bonus, and salary are all split out on different tabs, so some managers needed additional coaching to ensure they completed all three sections. We wished there was some additional flexibility around locking certain cells, for example, we loaded in market adjustments that we did not want managers to be able to edit, but we could not lock the field. It was relatively simple to cross-check throughout the cycle but I think having the ability to control what fields can be edited and what fields are locked (market adjustments, performance ratings, etc.) would be a nice to have feature. The customer support and responsiveness has been really great.
In terms of user interface it is very intuitive and easy for our managers to use and a huge step up from a spreadsheet-based process.
We always get our questions answered very quickly, even if the answer is "we can't add that functionality at this time". I've used other platforms where they either overpromise on functionality / customization or give unclear timeframes as to when things can be changed / added. This can make planning and designing a compensation process extra difficult given the training/communication aspects to managers of using a tool.
With SimplyMerit, I find they can often accommodate customization requests and if they can't, they are clear about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tool is still mostly geared toward merit. For a company that fully utilizes bonus and equity planning cycles, those functionalities are not as fleshed out as the merit portion is.
Very minor items like not being able to lock the scrolling when you have many fields in the planning panel was an issue for some managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team that sold us SimplyMerit implemented it! Everything they promised was delivered & with white-glove service (not all HR systems can do that even though they promise it!) They were there in the details with me during implementation as an extension of our HR team. I was also impressed with how quickly it was implemented! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything! It was incredibly customizeable. The only thing I can think of (which is more an issue of our internal team) is that I wish I could auto-approve everything at once because our managers aren't the best systems users and I had to go through and approve several for them. It was a simple and easy implementation. Also, managers were easily able to navigate the tool with minimal assistance from Human Resources. SimplyMerit provided documented instructions on how to implement the tool and tutorials for managers. It was great having those resources available rather than having to reach out to SimplyMerit for help. When I did need help from SimplyMerit, the team was always readily available. As an administrator of the Simply Merit tool I find the data upload template is lengthy with many fields not relevant to our organization and I wish I had the ability to customize emails sent from the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
