I've been using SimilarWeb for quite some time, and it’s a great tool for gaining insights into web traffic and digital performance. The breadth of data it offers — from traffic sources to audience behavior — makes it incredibly useful for understanding not just your own site but also your competitors'. The user interface is intuitive, making complex data easy to navigate and analyze, even if you're new to web analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However, when it comes to data accuracy, we’ve found that it’s essential to cross-check SimilarWeb’s insights with other tools our company uses. While it gives a good overall picture, some of the metrics — especially for smaller sites or niche industries — can vary significantly. To get the most out of it, we often need to compare SimilarWeb data with our internal analytics to ensure accuracy and consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Similarweb is a really great data analytics tool that can be tailored to your business needs. I really like the fact that is it easy to follow and that customization can be made with the help of their great support team! The support team is really hands on! I use Similarweb on a weekly basis and it is easy to integrate in your overall workflow. On top of that the implementation was also really seemless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some sort of customizations might be a bit more time-consuming, but overall I wouldn't even say that this is a negative thing. Overall, other tools are even less flexible and therefore I do like the flexibility of Similarweb even though it might be a bit more time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Similarweb is such a straingt forward tool and serves as like a hub of website, app, and keyword/search data. The interface too is easy to use, user-friendly. Customer Support is also easy to reach out and talk too, alongside their account management team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For start-up websites, I don't think Similarweb would be a good fit as website analytics platform given that it would only show "<5000 " when they identify that the traffic of the website is below 5000. It would be good to show the absolute counts for transparency.
Another thing is I hope the dashboard can be customized further by users. Right now, there are limited charts and color options we can use in widgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As na SDR team lead I spend a lot of time building list of prospects and helping my team to qualify them. SimilarWeb is an amazing tool for prospecting and qualification. There is a lot of information and it is always up to date. I also really apreciate that SimiarWeb team is always improving the instrument and adding new data and features.
SimilarWeb is a very intuitive tool and is really easy to use for both experience users and new onse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only negative feature for my team is Cost. Espetially if you want to add additional features, like traffic from specific geography. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Similarweb to benchmark our closest competitors on a monthly basis. It is a best way to not only assess marketing performances on top of internal data but also get learnings on competitors' best practises (e.g. referrals list, top search keywords and sources of traffic). My team (especially Product Managers) is also leveraging the tool to get insights on customer behavior and spot axis of improvements. To sum up, this user-friendly tool is a must have, providing a lot valuable information and data on your own website and your competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Given my frequency of usage, I found the tool a bit expensive. Having the opportunity to select some options would be appreciated. Besides, I often spot discrepancies between our internal data and data showed by Similarweb, which can lead to some confusion and doubts on competitors data. Similarweb is an incredibly comprehensive market intelligence tool, which is great for benchmarking website performance for our clients against industry competitors and whole industries. Each section of the platform has amazing features from Website Analysis to Website Segment Analysis, which gives details of how our clients are performing in markets around the world. Additionally, Similarweb has recently included a new Data Exporter tool, which is a game changer, allowing users to pull raw data in a much more time efficient way. Nothing, Similarweb has a great product roadmap and new features are constantly being worked on and implemented on a regular basis, which is unique to any tool I've used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SimilarWeb is an essential tool that helps us in planning and defending channel choices, especially during key periods for our clients, such as Black Friday.
For Planning: It provides detailed insights into website traffic, audience behavior, and competitor benchmarks, enabling data-driven decisions.
For Important Campaigns: During high-stakes moments like Black Friday, SimilarWeb allows us to be precise in our channel recommendations, ensuring optimized strategies for our e-commerce clients.
For Defending Channel Choices:The platform's metrics and analytics support the rationale behind selecting specific platforms, demonstrating their relevance and potential impact.
Using SimilarWeb ensures our strategies are grounded in robust, actionable data tailored to critical dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I don’t like is that I believe the tool could be more intuitive, with a better-developed UX, closer to the apps I frequently use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SimilarWeb provides comprehensive insights into both organic and paid traffic, offering us an in depth understanding of our audience. The platform’s clean and organized visuals simplify complex data, while features like the zero click % help us optimize our keyword strategies. Additionally, the AI Overview feature informs not only our SEO efforts but also our paid campaigns, allowing us to make data-driven adjustments on both fronts. Overall, SimilarWeb empowers us to make informed decisions and enhance our digital presence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While it’s not a matter of disliking SimilarWeb, one challenge I’ve encountered is the abundance of features. With so many features, it can be overwhelming to determine which specific feature will best address a particular question or analysis. For example, when investigating a drop in our recent organic traffic, I found myself not sure which feature would provide the most relevant insights. Clarity on feature selection would greatly enhance the platform’s usability and help users like me navigate the wealth of info available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Market Research module, hands down. It's the easiest way I've found to quickly see what my competitiors are up to – traffic sources, top pages, all that stuff Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The traffic numbers aren't always perfectly accurate, especially for smaller sites Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Similarweb is by far the single most used, trusted & dependable lead-gen tool we use in my organization to the point where I spearheaded an effort to upgrade to the Pro version across the entire organization. The data it provides almost entirely shapes our Sales pipeline for the year as it provides a lot of key metrics (website visits, competitors they're working with, legitimacy & sources of traffic, largest opportunities with them) that factor in identifying the best possible targets to chase.
It's really to install the extension from the Web Store. It's extremely intuitive, providing a snapshot of the most crucial data, with the platform being used even by our Ops teams. Everyone in my team uses it daily. Additionally, they are constantly adding new features to improve the UX - Sales Signals has been our favourite one as it often provides insights we can leverage to improve our pitch. Similarweb's internal logic for categorization of a website in a particular bucket is shaky and somewhat indecipherable at times. Consequqently, it's sister extension Similarsites (the name is pretty self-explanatory) isn't the most accurate either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
