User friendly and somewhat intuitive....depending on your request the support can be quite decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
40% price increase in 2022 and now a 30% price increase in 2024, at what point is it no longer worth the cost? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used Silverware for the past 3 years in our hotel restaurant/bars. I found the system to be very user friendly both for the servers and on the back end (creating buttons, schedules, reporting, etc). Support was responsive and quick, but most issues I could solve myself. Implementation and training was a breeze. By the second implementation, I could basically do it all myself. I would use this system again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integrations can become costly and some are a little glitchy. Besides that, most other issues we've had were easily solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Silveware is a very user friendly point of sale system that is easy to navigate. The system allows the admin a quick way to add or delete items. There are many useful features such as the time clock and recipes that we like. I have seen Silverware in several other local establishments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Back office isn't very useful for us. We do most of our back office stuff at the main terminal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Front end is very easy and straightforward to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of any real actionable data or analytics.
Service/Support levels were previously lacking, but that has improved significantly in the last 12 months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy to use user interface along with the ease of creating menu items and detailed reporting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times when Customer Support wait times run considerably long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
very straightforward. easy to use, easy to train. lots of functionality for splitting bills and types of service. back office is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly compared to other POS systems I've used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Silverware needs to up their game with customer service. Their support staff can be helpful, but you're never sure what you're going to get and it's next to impossible to get the same person on the phone if you have to call in again, which is time-consuming and frustrating to always have to re-explain the issues. Have also tried to expand into Reservations and the sales people are absolutely terrible at getting back to you, especially considering we're trying to give them more money! Being able to remotely add and update the system for multiple locations has proven to be extremely convenient especially when overseeing multiple worldwide locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Downsides include being dependent on internet and inability to re-combine checks after they’ve been split. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The system is intuitive, not terribly complex to administer, and is capable of almost any configuration that works for you. It connects to our KDS and can integrate to our hotel's PMS system as well as a variety of other integrations that streamline our operations. As far as security goes, they use a strong encryption solution that reduces our PCI footprint, which cuts on cost and effort. Because it's cloud hosted rather than local, we can offer more flexibility to managers and finance who need reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Clover Flex units, if you choose to use them, can create some server distress as they learn the hardware, and it's still not that common to have pay-at-the-table in the US, so a small minority of customers find it awkward. The scheduling is not totally there yet, so we couldn't use it to remove HotSchedules. We did notice some faults with the menu translation from the terminal screens to the Flex that required additional support. Print Routing is a lot more complex than in our previous systems, but it also has automatic failover and other features that remove the need to modify routing as often. It is a very user friendly POS system to use. Both at store level and management. It is great to use on the back end to pull various reports that are useful to me as the CFO. They work in a very timely matter as well, from first filling out a new store questionnaire to ordering the equipment to shipment, the system has been seamless. They also offer many different options for a restaurant, from Ipad ordering at tables, to screens in the kitchen. All of these things are improving the speed at which can get food out and also is cutting down on errors made when server writes down order and then goes and punches into POS system. We have found these new systems very beneficial and are very happy with them all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing it is a great POS system. The customer service needs some improvement, they do not always help in a timely fashion and have been rude to us on occasion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is user friendly and is easy to add specials or new menu items to. There are many reports that can be acquired to compare sales, see how many customers come in, what the avg sale is and when your busy & slow times are. Tech support has been very helpful when needed. It's great that you can carry the ipad from table to table and input orders faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had an issue with it using up all of our hard drive space at first, took a while to resolve the issue, but its working well now. I just wish we were able to get the dales directly into quickbooks. System does tend to go down or stop working right in the middle of a transaction Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
