They cannot upgrade to a new credit card system, so I would get a disputed charge every other day that I swipe the card it won't let me complete it.

What do you like best about SkyTab?

I inherited a system when I bought a restaurant. We used it for 2 months before we had to switch. It was not user friendly and we found that having handhelds was crucial for our business model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SkyTab?

What do you dislike about SkyTab?

I wish there were a search option instead of tabs. Basically search it by name instead of using the tabs. It's still easy to use and easy to train an employee on it but for those not very tech savvy the search by name would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SkyTab?

Being a user for over a decade, I've been able to see a lot of ways this software has been able to perform for my restaurant. The BEST part is it presents a lot of options when creating an item and very easy to set up time frames for special pricing. The reports are easy to run and read. What do you dislike about SkyTab?

With all the flexibility in this, sometimes I feel like you have to be really computer savvy or almost like a programmer to understanding how things may need to flow to get it to work a very specific way. What do you like best about SkyTab?

Harbortouch is easy enough to navigate. You’ve just got to get the hang of it. That takes about 5 shifts. The screen is easy to look at (it’s not jumbled or chaotic). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkyTab?

It doesn’t show full sales until tips are put in & finalized. It’s easy to press the wrong payment & there’s no way to go back. Transferring tabs is way too difficult because it gives too many options. The program looks like a book because it’s got so many explanations and no easy to click buttons. Recommendations to others considering SkyTab:

When you have free time, you have to keep playing around with all the features because there’s a lot, and it takes a while to learn. Not very easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SkyTab?

It is easy to use for employees. It has many options that allow you enter items fast. Features such as splitting checks and splitting payments are very easy and this is important because it can be time consuming. Customer service at Harbor Touch is quick to help If any issues need to be resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkyTab?

From an owners perspective the set up is very time consuming and not very user friendly especially if you have many menu options. Instructions are not very straight forward and can be difficult to understand many steps and terms. Once you do get things started it requires a lot of memorizing certain steps. Recommendations to others considering SkyTab:

Customer service is great ! Harbor Touch is great for large or small businesses and can be customized to fit your needs. Having organization prior to set up is recommended. Inputting things by menu items or alphabetical depending on what’s best for your establishment. Getting employees to offer input about what’s easier and faster for them can help with this as well. What problems is SkyTab solving and how is that benefiting you?

The 24 hour customer service is usually very quick to answer and help with any issues. They are patient and friendly. Credit card voids , connection issues and printer connections have been issues I have had to contact them about and they are usually fast about fixing any problems. What do you like best about SkyTab?

Pretty easy to use, but could be better. I think he is reliable. Good thing it supports chip card processing. Restaurant Manager has all the necessary POS features that we need. I really like the inventory function, which helps me track my stock levels. I also liked features such as: booking management, personnel management, waiting list management, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SkyTab?

There are not enough pos connections to their own account. Sometimes it freezes or slows down, but this is for a split second. The initial setup was a bit complicated, and its first use was not the easiest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
