Sharegate is pretty easy to use and does what is advertised. New features and enhancements are frequently added. Support from aquiring to software to tech support has been outstanding. I work with software from several vendors and Sharegate is top of the list in support.
Implentation has been simple . ShareGate isnow a daily use product for my team with reports and easy of maininting content in Sharepoin, OneDrive
I have migrated on-prem SP 2010, 2013 and have moved Tenant To tenant to consolidate with success.
We are currently brancing out into teams management and template use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only down side I have at this point is really a Microsoft thing, with the custom scripts having to be actiavted and throttling at times.
The SP template create needs to included customing the URL , not just the name of the site Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ShareGate is an awesome Migration Tool. It is very helpful and easy to use and easy to implement. They are number of features and is easily integrated with any environment with easy steps. We are using this tool from past 6 years. We did internal, (2007,2010,2013-SPO), Tenant migrations (OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know ShareGate is adding more new features now days. We need more features in custom reports. Also when a migration si completed, it should send an email to the Admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The "Ask the Experts" weekly Teams session is the best part of the ShareGate User experience. ShareGate is a product full of features and utility, but they are not ONLY covered in Knowledge Base content. The ShareGate User Documentation is excellent, but to have a weekly opportuity to ask questions of experts clearly embeddded in the application design i.e. "they know their stuff," is worth every dollar of aupport agreement investment. Users describe challenges and learn from the ShareGate staff and a helpful groups of colleauges gathered for a unified purpose: used the application in the most effective manner and make it the tool that does what you need done. It is similar to a weekly support call; even when you may not know in which area you need fortification.
I must also write a "glowing review" of the ShareGate Tech Support staff. They are extremely knowledgeable, call when they are scheduled, follow-up in a few days to gauge your progress and the effectiveness of their guidance. What is most refreshing is the willingness to say, "I am not sure, but I will find out" in areas of which they are not familiar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish they would make the software update process was smoother. I lose connection to already authorized tenants to automatically exports migration reports every time a ShareGate software update is pending. Once I complete the update, I have to add the storage location again, but the migration reports, complete with date/time stamps, etc. are once again accessible. I use Sharegate to migrate Teams and SharePoint sites from one tenant to another and within my tenant. ShareGate does this well and documents all steps so I can track down any issues. The online documentation is very helpful, and they have the best customer support ever!
The best is that they constantly update and innovate to meet new needs!

I can just copy a library and just let it run. The permission reports are also very helpful for the modern workforce being so portable. It's less of a full time job trying to find out where people have access to things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not really ShareGate's fault, but our tenant will only let me see the information for one site at a time that someone has access to. I'd like to be able to see everything across our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We migrated from on-prem servers to SharePoit and OneDrive, for over 800 sources, to 14000 desinations. Sharegate handled it all very well. We did have some issues with throttling, and visiblity into that throttling took some understanding. Support was kind of there to assist us with questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support! There is a poor model of support. Email only, introduces significant delays. National holidays always fall at the wrong times, so the US customers get more delays. I have been working a current issue with User cleanup for 3 months with support, and we are not close to a solution. Not the greatest support to help with technical issues with the product. ShareGate has very easy to use features and simply allows you to get the job done. whether importing information, moving it around or deleting it. it also provides Teams management which introduces control to the sprawl with provisioining which included naming conventions. Support is good and queries are answered or directed to log an enhancement request. there's also a searchable knowledge base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
some actions aren't currently available and although permissions reports come in a nice gui they can only be exported as a excel spreadsheet which is much harder for the target audience to comprehend. time difference for support causes delays and webinars etc are in Canadian time meaning they are harder to attend. When you search for sites using their explorer sometimes an existing site does not appear and you need to run the search two times.
