One shortcoming is not being able to advance search further, such as in a date range or at a particular property venue. I've recently been 'upgraded' to have access to every restaurant in the company, 99+, only 5 of which are relevant to my property and 3 of those I can book for. If i could either favorite my relevant venues or hide others, I would be able to save time confirming someone with a very common last name.
Time-slots that have already passed can still be booked, which has led to some double-bookings and some inconveniences, later we recieved communications and then direction to not use time-slots near or passed.
The icons used for the user interface are hosted on an external site that's not whitelisted by my company's policies, so there are either box character repacements everywhere or the functional button is invisible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While I find SevenRooms to be an incredibly effective and efficient platform, there are a couple of areas where I believe it could improve. The first is the learning curve. Given its comprehensive range of features, new users might find it somewhat challenging to navigate initially, especially if they’re not particularly tech-savvy. It takes time to fully leverage all the functionalities, which could be smoother with more intuitive onboarding.
Secondly, although the platform's reporting capabilities are good, they could be enhanced with additional filtering parameters. This would allow for more tailored and specific reporting, reducing the need for manual exports and filtering. It would also be advantageous to have a quarterly summary that combines all reports, making it easier and quicker to analyze year-to-date trends. As someone who oversees many brands within one company, having a more visual and digestible reporting format would be immensely helpful, particularly for presenting data effectively.
Additionally, I’ve noticed that the Google integration seems to be glitching more frequently, and we’ve had to report several bugs for fixes. Addressing this issue promptly would further enhance the platform’s reliability.

As a Restaurant CRM platform, and table management tool, it's a very good product, enabling solid performance with integrated marketing, profile management, revenue management tools, inventory optimization, and many other features, e.g. consolidated guest feedback. 7Rooms puts you in charge of your venue marketing data, and is the key to unlocking restaurant revenue management in your venues, and will help operators to have a clearer understanding your guest patterns of "Who buys what, and when?" 7Rooms allows you to add dining to guestroom Reservation flow, enables channel management for venues, generate segmented targeted promotions, create rate hurdles for high demand periods, enforce payments policy, reduce no-shows, implement Inventory controls to maximize duration. And you own the data, support decisions with data not guess work. 7R is also a valuable tool to support compliance in guest allergen management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
TIghter integrations with POS vendors, as the reporting in 7R is highly dependent on strong a POS integration as a standard. Would also want to see more structure as an "end of day" close down process to complement the very strong pre-shift and during shift processes. Would like to see an evoloution of the forecasting tools to have a better projection of forecasted revenues, as currently only possible with a forecast cover projection. Would also like to see 7R develop a market share reporting platform that enables them to log their footprint in key locations and deliver the equivalent of a market penetration index report that allows venues to benchmark their performance against more comparable venues in an anonymised reporting framework, similar to the RGI / MPI reporting in STR for hotels. Otherwise, reporting performance can be slow, but as an evolving product, it's a great tool to help you understand your guest more effectively at a scale that works well for enterprise customers. Would like to see reporting tag filters added to all reports, the ability to track lost business reasons more effectively, and have a better ability to segment guests via tags for communications linked to shift patterns, and hotel guest status as in house or as a walk in customer.
