I recently switched from software development to project management and I have to say that Project Management tools are making my life easy. I love using Trello, Slack, and Zoom in my everyday job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing I can tell but the fact that I can find so many options on the ServiceNow strategic Portfolio that sometimes makes it difficult for me to choose one tool for my everyday job. I find ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management useful as a business leader since it helps in directing the projects executio It offers momentary control into projects consequently offers a worthy method of ranking projects and permits insightful decision-making. Due to integration and ease of use, portfolio management on the platform brings versatility to the company’s processes and ensures that changes to the business landscapes do not hinder the platform from delivering the required ROI. ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management is a strong module, but not easy to implement and expand to its fullest. The learning curve of this tool may slow the rate at which it will be adopted in the various teams. It has many features that may seem excessive in some cases, and it can be expensive for organisations with a limited budget to free up for training. I have also noticed that some particular types of the custom reports can be difficult to create, sometimes it is necessary to use additional workarounds or extra modules. 1) ServiceNow is a very productive tool that helps the users manage the entire product lifecycle when integrated with respective tools - like Confluence
2) Supports various Software development lifecycle ( SDLC) methodologies like agile , waterfall , spotify etc.
3) Ease of access - Simple drag and drop features enable the users to easily manage the product backlog
4) Simple tagging of userstories - ServiceNow allows users to tag each individual userstory to its parent epic thereby ensuring proper segmentation and easier tracking
5) All in one place - ServiceNow is a one stop platform for an agile teams to manage their end to end tasks . It allows functional consultants/business analysts to create userstories , developers and techical teams to add tasks and update progress for daily scrum meetings , attendance and timesheet filling , bug and incident resolution etc .
6) ServiceNow allows tracking of progress of multiple teams working on a large project. This makes it easier to track and align on dependencies between multiple teams . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) Export features need improvement - the end users should be able to export sprint wise userstory export .
2) Mail triggers delays - Whenever any change is made on an individual userstory, sometimes there would be delay in mail triggers to stakeholders which might sometimes create misalignments if not analysed properly
3) Attachments in multiple formats : Would be a great addon if ServiceNow allows attachments in multiple formats for easier communication between business and technical teams Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
