It's a powerful tool with features that allow you to risk-assess everything from phone numbers to devices to biometrics. The rule engine is comprehensive, allowing you to get down to the essential details for those pesky trends.
Integration is relatively straightforward through the SDK and API calls, and our Account Manager (a shoutout to Rob) and the support team are incredibly helpful and responsive when we have queries.
If you have any particular issues with a trend or rule, the team is happy to take the sessions and analyse/suggest some rules which might help, which is super helpful.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it a negative, but one area for improvement would be incorporating AI-driven insights beyond just policies or templates. It would be valuable to have an intelligence layer that identifies transaction patterns and provides proactive suggestions or warnings based on learned behaviors. Over time, as more transactions are processed, the system could tailor insights to our specific transaction types and customer base, enhancing fraud detection and risk assessment.
Additionally, if I could, I would like to have a slightly better integration with plaid identity verification so that we don't have to add the results as custom fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sardine is user friendly and it's easy to make changes if needed. The team is extremely helpful if you need a little extra help and they provide updates about changes. I use Sardine daily and multiple times throughout the day. I love that you're able to back test rules and easily build upon established rules. You can be as specific as you'd like! This isn't necessarily a dislike, but an extra step for me is the date filter. We have used Sardine for longer than 1 year and sometimes need to search beyond that. As time goes on we have to go further back. Which is actually a great thing too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sardine is by far the most useful fraud tool I have ever used. With just one click on a user profile, I can see everything I need to know about a user. I use it every day multiple times a day, and would have a much harder time doing my job without the use of Sardine. Their customer service representatives are also top notch. Sardine is an incredible solution. It is truly a world class fraud platform addressing every channel and need, delivering the capabilities only previously available to large companies with dedicated risk engineering teams. With a small team and Sardine fully implemented across our onboarding, money movement, and account security we are able to monitor, thwart, and adapt to fraud in real-time with a single analyst. We have been a Sardine client for years and were an early adopter. Even when they were a small team and starting out, the functionality, support, and innovatios was second to none and exceeded the support and capabilities or our larger and more well know providers in the space. We soon replaced our established partner with Sardine and completed the full implementation in a matter of weeks with only two engineers. There isn't anything we dislike about Sardine. From the functionality and experience to their executive team, they have always prioritized every client's success. They are the only vendor we do not have any complaints about or difficulties with, and we judge all other vendors by the quality of the product and service and ease of integration we receive from Sardine. As the product owner of a newly launched neobank, fraud and compliance was top of mind during the initial launch. We were looking for a tool that not only handled case management, but also behavioral biometrics and velocity rule writing. Sardine has been a tool where we have been able to integrate ID&V, selfie and other signals as part of our fraud and risk mitigation requirements. Being able to expand on some existing out of the box rules has also helped us get up and running faster than ever. As fraud is a complex situation, going down a rabbit hole with many different signals could at times be a challenge to follow the endpoints. Communication is easy with quick turnaround on responses, even on more complicated inquiries. Our account manager is organized, efficient, and stays on top of our needs. There is no hesitation to bring in a tech or specialist in any area if she doesn't have the answer for us. She always ensures that our time is used productively. Getting the most out of our contract felt like a priority to our account manager and it was easy to implement new features we hadn't started with at first. Some of the language used in rules and certain parameters is hard to understand. It can be a little challenging to understand what the metric is, but when that occurs we are always able to send a quick question over or set up a meeting for more in-depth explanation. Truthfully, the most helpful aspect of Sardine is our Product Support Rep Rob Schaefer! Without Rob's assistance and advice, we would be pretty lost. He is also super knowledgeable from a dev perspective along with a customer/user focus and this greatly helps with implementing Sardine throughout our platform. The only downside of Sardine in my opinion is that it can be a bit overwhelming and somewhat crowded with signals. As a new user or novice fraud analyst, Sardine does have a large learning curve and providing a tutorial or walkthroughs geared towards someone without an engineering background would be helpful. As one of their earlier customers, we were privileged to witness firsthand the rapid release and enhancement of their platform. The pace at which Sardine rolled out new features was nothing short of impressive, within months of starting the engagement they had transitioned from a new entrant to a genuine threat to the incumbents, providing the core neccesities required to manage a high quality Trust, Safety and Fraud Management program and then innoviating beyond the industry standard.
Beyond a standard plug-and-play Sardine ventured into areas that other market players had either overlooked or failed to execute well on, including vast third party integrations that really helped bridge the onboarding experience across both fraud prevention and compliance/kyc onboarding.

In our experience, challenges were rare. We had minor teething problems when the product was in its infancy, but the Sardine team was remarkably swift and proactive in addressing them or providing work arounds (even if they were just minor aesthic feedback that we had no expections to be resolved, the team executed).
