What do you like best about Sana Commerce Cloud?

REV'IT! Sport International ontwerpt en ontwikkelt functionele en modieuze motorkleding voor de serieuze motorrijder. Tien jaar geleden werden de eerste stappen gezet voor een online dealer portal met de B2B e-commerce oplossing van Sana Commerce. Een belangrijk project voor de Rotterdamse leverancier, omdat na een periode van voorbereiding de eerste Sana-webshop nu echt gebouwd werd. Een decennium later is REV'IT!, naast de allereerste, ook nog steeds een zeer tevreden klant.

"Wij werken iedere dag om mensen te inspireren om hun motor te pakken en optimaal te genieten", zegt Bas Stijntjes. Hij werkt nu tien jaar bij REV'IT! als ICT-manager. In deze rol is hij onder andere verantwoordelijk voor alle IT-projecten, het netwerkbeheer en de procesoptimalisatie. Toen Stijntjes bij REV'IT! begon merkte hij duidelijk de wens om snel in te stappen op de 'online shopping trend'." Integratie met Dynamics NAV

Omdat REV'IT! gebruikmaakt van Microsoft Dynamics NAV was de keuze voor Sana destijds snel gemaakt, ondanks dat de leverancier nog geen groot klantenportfolio had opgebouwd. Stijntjes: "Voor ons was integratie heel belangrijk en Sana was een van de eerste partijen die dit goed voor elkaar had. Het voordeel van de e-commerce oplossing van Sana is de directe koppeling met ons ERP-systeem van Microsoft. Hierdoor hoefden we de bestaande business logica niet te herschrijven. Neem bijvoorbeeld kortingsregels voor bepaalde dealers of collecties die alleen beschikbaar zijn in een specifieke regio. Daarnaast is door de directe koppeling met ons ERP-systeem de actuele voorraad voor elke dealer direct via het online portal in te zien."

Dealer portal

Met de dealer portal wilde REV'IT! zich destijds onderscheiden van de concurrentie. Tien jaar later bewijst de portal nog dagelijks zijn waarde. Dealers kunnen snel en efficiënt de voorraad checken, direct bestellen of productinformatie opzoeken. "Veel van onze relaties waren direct erg enthousiast over de dealerportal. Uit een enquête een aantal jaar geleden blijkt dat zo'n tweederde van onze dealers de portal dagelijks gebruikt voor zowel productinformatie als het plaatsen van orders. Het vermelden van de ETA, de 'estimated time of arrival', heeft bovendien ook een hoop van de pijn bij gebruikers weggenomen. Onze producten hebben een relatief lange 'lead time' en soms is een artikel uit een verouderde collectie niet meer bij te bestellen. Het is heel fijn dat we dit soort informatie direct kunnen weergeven in de online portal."

Verrijkte productinformatie

REV'IT! heeft in tien jaar tijd een aantal belangrijke veranderingen doorgevoerd. De meest in het oog springende is de verrijking van productinformatie. "Gedreven door onze passie voor Design, Performance en Innovation streven we naar het ultieme product: een product dat de rijder helpt bij het leven van zijn passie, in veiligheid én stijl", zegt Stijntes. "Bij REV'IT! zijn wij continue bezig met productontwikkeling. Net zoals bij andere technisch hoogwaardige sportkleding is hier een hoop informatie over te geven." Op advies van Sana werd gekozen voor het product information management (PIM) van Perfion. "Perfion stroomlijnt de verschillende datastromen bij REV'IT! en zorgt dat de productinformatie zowel op onze website als in het dealerportal altijd up-to-date is. Naast snelheid en efficiëntie hebben we zo ook meer grip op de marketingboodschap die we willen verspreiden."

Internationaal zakendoen

Werkzaam vanuit het REV'IT! hoofdkantoor in het Brabantse Oss en de vestiging in New York, is REV’IT! actief in ongeveer 70 landen. De technische motorkleding is via een wereldwijd netwerk aan wederverkopers te verkrijgen. Gepassioneerde motorrijders over de hele wereld dragen dit Nederlandse merk, dus het is niet gek als je een motorrijder met een Jacket Sand 3, een topmodel jas, ziet rondrijden. "Ons dealer portal is beschikbaar in acht verschillende talen en voor de Noord-Amerikaanse markt hebben we een eigen online omgeving. Dat laatste heeft voornamelijk te maken met de collectie die speciaal voor deze markt wordt gemaakt. De standaardisatie van de productverrijking en de koppeling van het ERP-systeem zijn voor onze internationale ambities erg belangrijk. Of we nu een veranderde voorraad, aanpassing van de productinformatie of een marketingactie hebben; we kunnen het direct naar onze dealers communiceren via het dealer portal", vertelt Stijntjes.

Tien jaar samenwerking

Voor de toekomst heeft REV'IT! zeker nog plannen op het gebied van e-commerce. Zo wil Stijntjes kijken naar de mogelijkheden voor commerciële retouren en het automatisch toevoegen van garantieformulieren. Ook na tien jaar ziet hij geen reden om van leverancier te veranderen, zeker niet omdat zonder veel upgrades, aanpassingen of maatwerk de portal nog steeds uitstekend functioneert. "We hebben altijd heel prettig met Sana samengewerkt. Natuurlijk heeft elk project zo zijn ups-and-downs, maar dat hoort erbij. Voor ons is het heel prettig dat we al een lange tijd met een accountmanager werken, die precies de hoed en de rand van onze organisatie kent. Zelfs toen zijn vrouw op het punt stond te bevallen van hun eerste kindje, was hij voor ons aan het werk. There are a few things about Sana Cloud that I totally love: 1. I can do experiments by creating my own panels and reports. 2. It's fast. We moved to it from Bitrix2 and we were not at all disappointed. It keeps the promise is highly recommended if you want a fast and reliable system. 3. It shows the data in real-time. Whoa! From the start, it was so easy to integrate into our system that our IT team could hardly believe how simple it all was. Over the past year, there have been incredible improvements to this platform, as evidenced by the 27 updates since it was launched - all of which have exceeded my expectations. Whenever I need help or guidance in solving a challenge related to Santo Commerce, the customer service is always responsive and helpful. What's more, fellow users on the various forums provide great insight through seminars and examples, not only for newcomers but also for veterans looking for advanced tips on usage. I do not like the fact that Sana Commerce Cloud is preset in its template, which requires additional work to customise and adapt it to our online business needs. What do you like best about Sana Commerce Cloud?

The product is extremely robust and tightly integrated with our ERP, SAP Business One. The training materials are extremely well thought out and easy to follow. The SANA team is timely, professional, and fun to work with. While doing custom development, the SANA team was great at communicating unintended consequences. What do you dislike about Sana Commerce Cloud?

I wish there were an easier way to manage pictures/images. The file explorer is easy to use (preview options, download, delete, etc.), but since we have over 1k items on our SANA webstore, it's can be extremely difficult to search/find a random image. What problems is Sana Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before SANA, our customers had no visibility into our vast inventory. We had printed manuals and catalogs, but no e-commerce store to let our brick and mortar customers window-shop. We're also now able to quickly expand our business out of state without hiring multiple to maintain inventory/pricing/order processing/etc. Since SANA integrates in real-time with our ERP (SAP Business One), there is virtually no admin work.
