What do you like best about Salsify PXM?

We want to automate syndicating our product to our retail partners, developing different workflows for retail partners with varying levels of connectivity, having a source of truth for product and distribution with checks and balances to know what is on our retailer's digital shelf. Most retailers connected to Salsify are US-based. Since we are located in the EU, we cannot get a direct connection to some of the retailers that matter to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Digital asset platform and process can be improved. And they do not have every retailer available (No Home Depot Canada, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Salsify PXM?

This is one area I would give kudos: The user interface and ability to manage SINGULAR products is effective, better than building and maintaining SKUs directly in our eCommerce system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salsify PXM?

The system doesn't do 80% of what we were promised when sold the platform as a solid PIM/PXM option to interface and feed our BigCommerce platform. If you use product families, variants, custom attributes, or anything outside of a VERY vanilla B2C feature set with extremely well-defined endpoints that happen to align with the stock fields in Salsify, THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT FOR YOU... What problems is Salsify PXM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Frankly, this software has CAUSED more problems and issues for us than it has solved. The only benefit is that I know to never recommend this platform to anyone who asks my opinion about PIMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Update, 2/15/21:

We listened! Thank you for your feedback. We heard from customers like you that our connector to BigCommerce's v2 API was too limited in its capabilities. So we recently launched a connector that takes advantage of the further flexibility that BigCommerce's v3 API enables, including fields for product families, variants, custom and meta attributes, and more. In addition, the connector supports publishing videos and enhanced content.

What do you like best about Salsify PXM?

Salsify has many features that has helped our organization to have one source for data and for the organization to become efficient in the every changing digital world. Salsify allows me to keep track of the information and to know what’s missing from specific products. It is intuitive and user-friendly product.
