There are many things to like about the platform, but for starters, the straightforward UX is so helpful. I teach it in my class and my team, and both can pick up the software fast and efficiently. The second is how useful it is in looking for inspiration and trends in our industry. Often I wonder if we dropped the ball on some content or opportunities to create new content unknown. It used to be that it could not track TikTok, but that has now changed (thanks Rival IQ!), so do not have much negative to say. I think the power of the platform is the effective cost and simplicity of the platform. I like how it focuses on what it does best and does not overcomplicate the process. I appreciate that RivalIQ offers me stats and tables for metrics that I may not have previously considered a being instrumental pieces of data. However, there have been a handful of times where I've looked at some of these different graphs, and have been able to see trends that I wouldn't have noticed if I was just looking at the big stats like Engagement Rate per follower. The aesthetic appeal and the lack of ability to customize it much makes me less excited to use the built in tables and graphs that you can just export. Even though that would be a lot more convenient, I prefer to design my own graphs so that they look as clean and beautiful as the rest of a presentation I may be giving to a client. Rival IQ is my GO TO tool whenever I need to perform a social media audit and/or competitive audit. I love how easy it is to set up, how responsive their customer service team is (the chat function is simply tops), and I really value the insights the tool provides around a brands' social performance. Additionally, Rival IQ has TikTok stats, which very few tools have at the moment, so that has really helped as more brands are on the platform and need reporting around content performance. The only downside is that I wish it had more robust listening. I know that is not what the tool specializes in; but it would be very helpful it was folded into one. The layout and ability to generate custom reports from all of our channels at once. My competitive nature also loves the ability to create landscapes and measure our efforts against our competition. Rival IQ is such a great find because not only can I monitor content performance for brands I work with but I can also look at my brand vs. competitors. The tool, out of the box, provides insights around performance, areas to improve upon, and sends alerts on breakout posts from competitors. It also tells you if a post was likely "boosted" which is also insightful in today's pay-to-play environment. Probably the most helpful thing is that it also tracks TikTok data along with all the other data sources.
