For years, I have been transcribing videos on my own and sometimes the captions can take as long as the initial edit. This tool is so easy. The fact that it comes back in a format that not only makes everything accessible for our audiences but also makes it easy to identify each speaker and pull specific quotes - and does all of that within a few hours - has saved me time and headaches. I can't imagine ever going back to the old way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I truly haven't found any aspect of Rev that I do not like. Since I began using it, I have found that the user interface is simple and straightforward, and the product's end result is exactly what I am looking for. No complaints! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rev makes it incredibly easy to turn my audio files into clear, accurate transcripts with minimal effort on my part. I love how simple the interface is—uploading files is quick, turnaround times are fast, and the formatting is clean and professional. It’s become an essential part of my workflow for documenting meetings, client consultations, and conversations I want to revisit (including ChatGPT convos!). The ability to quickly search transcripts is a huge time-saver.
• Ease of Use: Super easy to navigate, even for non-tech-savvy team members. Uploading, reviewing, and downloading transcripts is seamless.
• Ease of Implementation: No complicated onboarding—just start uploading and you’re good to go.
• Frequency of Use: I use Rev weekly (sometimes daily) for business documentation and process optimization.
• Number of Features: While it’s streamlined, I appreciate the core features it offers—especially timestamps and speaker labels.
• Ease of Integration: Even though I don’t integrate it directly with other tools yet, I do upload my transcriptions into Chat GPT and it helps Chat GPT know my voice and how I would normally communicate with my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the accuracy is usually strong, especially for clear audio, there can occasionally be issues with proper names, industry terms, or soft-spoken speakers. I’d love to see a more intuitive way to save and reuse custom vocabulary or name corrections. Also, while the transcription speed is fast, rush orders can get pricey if you need something in a pinch. I love how easy it is to use the Rev recording app to capture thoughts in real time, especially when I’m brainstorming for writing projects. Whether it's for my fiction series, course content, or faith-based devotionals, Rev helps me hold onto those fleeting creative ideas so I can turn them into polished content later. The app is intuitive, the audio is clear, and everything is well organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There’s very little I dislike, but if I had to pick something, I’d say I wish the app offered a tagging system or folders to help organize different recordings by project or theme. When I have a lot of files, I sometimes have to scroll more than I’d like. Still, that’s a small thing compared to how helpful it is overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Rev to create transcripts for my Fibromyalgia Podcast, Certified Fibromyalgia Coach, and Certified Fibromyalgia Advisor classes. Since I work in a more "medical" field, many of the words I use are medications, supplements, hormones, etc. With our previous transcription service, it was a struggle to get these correct. I also love that I can quickly update the transcript and spit out the closed captions file without having to do extra work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even though Rev has a glossary (to learn spelling), it inevitably gets my name (Tami) wrong (Tammy) EVERY. TIME. I don't understand why it can't pull that from the glossary? It is easy to find and replace, but being that my name is in literally every document I create, it's annoying! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So I run a media company with different products and services. One of the best things about REV is how accurate their transcriptions are. With our old service we used, we had to constantly review and correct transcriptions.
As well, their AI templates are amazing! We create social media posts for many clients and all we have to do is transcribe the video and once we do, we then use the AI template we created and send it to the client. It make sit look like we have spent hours creating it, when really it was so easy to use and integrate, that it impresses the clients!
We use REV frequently for everything from creating these templates to making YouTube video descriptions and time partitions.
It used to take us 5X longer doing this manually and if the client wants it phrased different, we just use the AI and it changes it as desired rather than having to create it all again!
I was very easy to implement the AI templates and when we didn't understand how to use it customer support was there to save the day.
On top of all that it is very affordable!
As you can tell, I highly recommend REV! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For my use cases, it works very well. Sometimes I have issues with files I have upload where they disappear and I have to re-upload it. It never loses work I have worked on, just sometimes I have to upload things twice. All in all not too major. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Rev is a subscription service so that I don't have to pay per minute of transcribed audio like I previously had to do. That adds up after having many minutes of audio, like we do, that needs to be transcribed. My team and I also really like the AI features such as summary and main points, which allows my team members without any previous knowledge of the subject matter to understand things very quickly opening the transcript in Rev. I also really love how I can easily share a transcript with one of our clients if we need to. I've also had very positive experiences with Rev's helpful and friendly customer support. There's really nothing that I dislike about Rev. I mean, I guess I would love for it to be cheaper, but I don't feel like it's an unfair price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used Rev often for AI transcription purposes of the last 6 months or so and have been so pleasantly surprised at how easy the program is to use, the speed, and overall the accuracy of transcription. Keep in mind, it's still AI at the end of the day so dialect and audio quality do factor into the end product. I work as a paralegal and the Rev AI transcription feature has been SUCH a huge time saver. The transcripts make it easy for me to run keyword searches to find the documents I should focus on without billing for useless hours. I also appreciate all the ways to edit/personalize the transcript (adding speaker names, for instance). I have recommended Rev to several colleagues and will absolutely continue to use it in the future. I've also had the opportunity to provide input to the Rev team who seem genuinely invested in creating and maintaining helpful products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a way to bulk download transcripts. Downloading one by one is a time suck. Being able to apply the same export features to all transcripts and bulk downloading it would make Rev a 10/10 for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rev saves me a lot of time when transcribing video interviews so articles can be written from the text. I also like that it can filter out extra filler words and "umms" when people are being interviewed, making the transcripts much easier to read and use with few or no edits. Overall, Rev is very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rev sometimes does not get the Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 labels correct. It quoted the wroung pern a few times out of hundreds of times using it, soI always need to double check the AI and transitions between people to make sure they are correct. It sometimes does not pick up the correct words. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using Rev for a decade-- first with human transcripts and now with AI. When they first rolled out AI, I was unsure the quality would be comparable, but truly, it has been a great asset. The turnaround is so quick, the transcription is accurate and the price cannot be beat. I like that it is easy to upload files, all your files and past orders are in an organized, easy to use and to find location. I also really like some of the recent backend features they have rolled out-- which make it easy to do quick checks of the transcription. You can listen to your audio and read along with the text and even edit before downloading-- it's super quick and simple to find exactly the spots you want to double check. I use this about three times a month and I love it! No other product on the marker is better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't a lot of complaints-- but I do wish there was like a learning function inside my account-- since i use the same speakers, it could learn their voices/accents and get even more accurate over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AI transcription on Rev is more accurate than on competitors' platforms, and it's really easy to download a full transcript. I also like that I can easily fast forward or rewind to sections of a video or audio, and find things I'm looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it's slow to upload videos - but that's not Rev's fault! It's probably an issue on my end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Rev has made my life so much easier as an insurance agent. In my first visit i do a fact finder meeting. I can follow my meeting outline and Rev records and transcribes the whole thing for me and organizes all my info into an easy to read notes page. The coolest thing about it is, i uploaded my meeting templet to Rev, and it auto fills that templet with the clients answers. I simply read over the notes at the end of the meeting and expound on one or two things and i'm done. No more writing down answers or typing answers into OneNote. I just copy the notes and save them as a word doc or PDF. I also love that i can have the AI critic my meeting. Helps me see what i need to work on and gives pretty good feedback.
