Redtail is very user friendly and has a lot of the things I need to easily record work items, emails, calendar, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SAVE YOURSELVES A NIGHTMARE AND AVOID REDTAIL.
We left Salesforce 1YR ago because our contract was up and were going to experience a big price increase. In hindsight, I would happily pay the increased price for Salesforce. I knew there were going to be some growing pains moving to Redtail, but thought they'd smooth out over time. They have not.... and frustration levels have increased 100x.
Redtail might be wortwhile if you are a 1-2 person business with zero technical ability and want a very, very. dumbed down out of the box CRM. If you want to do ANY bulk data import, customize layouts, or require bulk edits, Redtail is absolutely TRASH. You cannot do mass imports or mass edits on your own. You are forced to email Redtail support a "Spreadsheet" and have their techs do it for you. This is ridiculously cumbersome and makes you rely on Redtails crappy workload timeline. On top of that, you are extremely limited on what redtail offers for fields and layouts... which means you end up shoving data in fields that are labeled for other uses. Want to sync you CRM calednar with Outlook? Good luck. Redtails Retriever application created 1000's of duplicate calendar entries and essenttially rendered my Outlook calendar useless. I waited an hour for a person at Redtail to answer the phone, spent another hour explaining the problem, and I was told I need to "manually" delete all the duplicates. LOL. That would take days if not weeks of wasted time.Their support agents have dropped the ball on simple requests numerous times and do not have direct phone numbers to get contacted. They hide behind a general 800 number. Redtail has taken our overall business BACKWARDS and created more problems than solutions. Avoid like the plague.
To top it off, their server SUCKS and is extremely slow loading data. It also times out with error messages WAY too often.
Even with the massive work it takes to switch CRM systems, I will be movign our company away from Redtail at some point soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
