I like that it handled data migration from Mitchel1 easily. There was no loss of customer and repair data. I was able to continue accurate KPI reporting and marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this point, R.O. Writer is bulky to manage as I need an IT person on retainer to handle my in-shop database. There are many newer to market cloud-based shop management systems that run lean, have more features and are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. They don't offer a Demo other than a webinar demo by a salesperson. Not intuitive. I paid, what I consider an excessive amount for training. I can't imagine anyone being able to use this program without an a large investment in training time. The way functions are performed is not consistent, my entire staff felt the same way. Unavailable tech support. Staff got tired of calling tech support so they just left machines not working and worked around down machines.

This is a tough one to answer. It doesn't crash too often and it doesn't randomly delete data but like once a year I guess? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is going to be a big list. It crashes, its an access database, it doesn't work across different operating systems so it's PC only, it won't integrate with other tools because it is an access database. It's interface is outdated and reporting is incredibly limited. You can't dive into data and there isn't a way to to search for customers based on criteria for sales data, only last name, vin or RO number. Support is slow, almost everything has to be escalated to tier 2, it isn't designed to work with most modern security and software solutions, so if you have a server you're going to spend a lot of money on your IT guy. The customer service is horrible. The system crashes often and when it does the tier one technicians can rarely fix it. Once it gets handed to tier two, you can expect to wait for days for a call back, if at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
