Quickbase formulas are incredibly powerful
QB connected tables make moving data easy
the QB API is robust and fast Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whenever QB purchases new tech, they ham fistedly push it onto customers before the integration makes sense. This happened with pipelines and fast field.
Pipelines is a great addition now, but when it was aquired it was substandard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quickbase is incredibly useful for our business case since it allows non-technical users to function as developers very quickly. We have numerous users who need the ability to spin up small project applications, and are able to do so quickly and with minimal technical training. This allows us to integrate our many complex systems and existing solutions really seamlessly, without contracting externally or hiring dedicated developers. We've also had great interactions with our service reps and the Quickbase team as whole, they've been responsive and helped us find solutions to problems we couldn't solve ourselves. Quickbase hasn't been in our process that long yet (2-3 years), but has quickly become a daily driver for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The largest hurdle that we experience regularly with Quickbase is the lack of official development resources. The Quickbase development community (the Qrew) is really helpful in this area, but there's often not a specific resource that can be found about the types of issues we're trying to solve. This has previously led to our team thinking that they were trying to do something impossible within the platform or that a certain feature did not exist even though Quickbase was capable of solving the issues they wanted it to. The ability to customize information and capabilities throughout the business, and tailored to a widely dispersed employment base. Always accurate and dependable.
Our company depends on the QB platform for everyday use, I don't know where we would be without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The helpdesk. More often than not, when a case is submitted, it takes a long time for the support after the first interaction. I recently had a scenario where I published an updated app from the sandbox, but I could not find any documentation on migrating the sandbox pipeline to the production app. The person had to go research it themselves. A day or more when by and I finally figured it out on my own and let the tech know.
I simply felt that the pipeline helpdesk crew should have known the process or point me in the correct direction - they did not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quickbase is straightforward and easy to use, even for someone like me who is self-taught. I was able to build three apps before I even met with a trainer, and it has been a good tool for organizing and centralizing our processes. I like that it allows us to keep everything in one place instead of needing separate apps for communication, inventory, and other tasks. That is a big deal for us because we are a small but growing company, and we do not have the time or resources to juggle multiple systems. It is also flexible enough that I can tweak things as we grow or as our needs change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our biggest issue before Quickbase was communication. We run two shifts in our chemical manufacturing facility, and information wasn’t always getting passed down properly—things like equipment issues, inventory levels, or what stage a batch was in. We started with paper forms, but they were not cutting it. With Quickbase, we have been able to create apps that help us track and share this information more effectively. It has made communication between shifts a lot smoother, which is something everyone here appreciates.
Another benefit is having everything centralized. Before, we were using different tools for different tasks, and it was a hassle. Now, we can manage things like inventory and production tracking all in one place. It has also helped us keep up with our growth. When I started here, we had around eight employees; now we are at nearly 50. Quickbase has made it easier to scale without adding unnecessary complexity. That said, I am always looking for ways to improve what we have built. I am self-taught, so I know there are probably better ways to do some things. But even with that, Quickbase has been a solid solution for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quickbase works for me because it’s simple to use and feels intuitive, especially since I’m not an IT guy—I’m an accountant. It’s similar to Excel in how I can visualize and build processes, which makes it easy for me to create what I need without needing a coder. I also like that it’s flexible. I can build something that fits exactly how we run our business, and if we need to tweak it, we can. It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution, which is important for us. Another thing I appreciate is how Quickbase lets us manage everything from the point of sale to the point of swinging a hammer. It handles commissions, task management, and ensures things are done the right way. That kind of control is key for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app could do with an update but other than that it's perfect for what we do Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how helpful everyone at Quickbase is. If you are struggling with something within your app everyone has been ready to help however they can. I love being able to use the QuickBase university to learn more and put it to use in my current application. We are not live yet but the idea of ditching excel spreadsheets and just using Quickbase sounds amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a brand new builder the most difficult thing I have found is that many of the live trainings feel more geared towards the builders who have been doing this for awhile. I do still find them helpful but can be confusing at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A reliable tool for sharing and visualizing data with controls is Quickbase. It works effectively as a tool for visualizing enormous data sets and as a data repository. Customer satisfaction has increased due to the process automation's reduction of errors and waiting times. I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic tool. and customer support, integration of use these are most like features in this product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is only one negative feeling about this product, All of the data will be gone if someone deletes a profile by mistake. While having a backup system that runs automatically would be convenient, during our testing and usage of the software, we were unable to find that option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to customize a database and having different options to how the database works is awesome!
I like the idea of the Office Hours however, I wish there were more opportunities/times available (instead of 1 hour each day).
There are ways to create custom roles for internal and external users; this helps keep certain data/internal processes private. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They force changes on the users (e.g. the Sidebar Navigation versus Top Navigation); changes in how some of the reporting graphs are (e.g. the total change from a gauge chart to a totally different circular design).
These changes without letting the end user decide what is best for them is not very customer friendly.
There should be more individualized trainings available, specific to what the business users needs are; I don't mind the general training/certification, but it's too generalized and doesn't always fit the actual training needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I was new on QuickBase, it was a little complicated for me but when I spent some time on it.
It is easier to access everything, I like the features of QuickBase like pipelines and action things.
While the Implementation of something, action is very useful and because of the pipeline, it got very easy to integrate some other platforms as well.
When we got any issue or something we reached out to customer support or help center where we resolved our issue.
And not I am a frequent user of Quickbase Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When we have to update something in pipeline, it gets turned off.
While updating the live pipeline, it goes into draft mode instead of being turned off.
this will be very good for users.
New form. it takes time when we update some field on form and open any record Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the dashboard feature. It has made preparing multiple reports so much easier for me. I can easily use filters and pipelines to pull in data from other applications. The quick access to data and how easily I can sort it truly makes this app perfect for my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I sometime find it difficult to intigrate Quickbase with other app that I am using currently. Eg. I use cloud ERP cloud ( SQL ) which I find difficult to integrate in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our company has used Quickbase for eight years. Originally set up by our VP of Operations, I was brought on two years later. I was able to learn everything about Quickbase on my own, through the University, and have created and maintained a dozen apps since then. Much more user friendly than early databases such as Oracle. I have also had some outstanding customer service and support from the teams at Quickbase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to customize some of the apps, fields, and reports, can sometimes be a little frustrating. Some of our users are not computer saavvy, we are in the construction business, and they have their own ideas of what they would like to see and work with but it isn' always possible. Instances of table relationships causing issues, not integrating the way we would like, can also cause minor pain. Overall, I have had very few issues that couldn't be solved one way or another. Lastly, some of the new UI features are not as "user friendly" as they were before the updates. This makes navigation somewhat cumbersome at times, especially for those who have limited computer knowledge. They are comfortable with the way it's set up and then it changes, which isn't ideal for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
