Qminder provides me with fantastic insights realating to the demand on the service my deparment provides; this allows us to better manager our time, and also means that our users can plan their visits around our quieter periods.
Being able to see historical data means that we can better prepare for each semester, and know what times we need cover at, and when our down times are likely to be, allowing us to work on other tasks.
The open and closed hours, as well as the one off closures makes it easier for my department to book in team meetings, and ensure the information is conveyed to our stakeholders.
I've had Qminder in my department for nigh on 10 years now, and it's implementation, support, and use have been of fantastic help to managing the demand my department faces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that there was a bit more freedom to make changes on Qminder, such as the messages displayed on the iPad or TV Screen.
Previously the ability for our stakeholders to sign in remotely using the app made it much easier for students to wait away from the department, unfortunately with that feature being no longer supported, we have to provide buzzers to our students to recall them.

It's a great way to keep track of clients that come into the showroom. It helps the different teams communicate with each other so we can efficiently assist clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When adding a new visitor, the program defaults to the previous service that was used for the last client you checked in. It is not the end of the world. However sometimes we forget to change it! And it can cause confusion. I dont see an effective way to prevent that from happening. Maybe defaulting to no service at all so you have to choose a service everytime. Qminder is incredibly simple to setup. We love the ability to have our staff chat with clients from the interface while clients are waiting. We love the Apple TV App that shows clients right where they are in the queue. We started out using Qminder at one campus and are in the midst of expanding it to all of our campuses. We wish that the user interface our clients see when they sign in was more customizable. Our work around was to hook up a Gravity Form via Zapier to pass through the data to Qminder for the sake of our unique use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes our visitors get confused with the opening page 'tap to sign in' - I think being able to change the button to 'sign in for service' or something similar would work for us, just in terms of customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that the clients info is available, should I need to call them after the visit. For example if they left without one of their items. I also like that it keeps up with how many customers I serve, and what company they are from. I also like that I can use it in different branches. I really don't have any complaints about it. Some of my contractors don't like signing in to it, and they think it's an inconvience for them. I try to be as nice as possible about it and let them know that it is just how my company tries to see that I'm doing my job.
It would be nice if there was a way to edit how long a customer has been in que though, or to adjust when you actually finish with a customer. My collegues don't always take them out of the que and sometimes I don't see it until the next day and it looks like a customer has been waiting for 15 hours etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives me the details of the KPIs I report on every week. It gives me accurate view of clients waiting and those being assisted. I have access to categories my LOBs making reporting and performance measuring very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Qminder is a helpful tool when you have a lot of customers at one time and need to keep track of the service time and who came in at what order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can sign a guest in and it puts them into the quere instead of calling them to your area, so if you click call next it will pick the next person in line rather the person who you just signed in yourslf Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Qminder has a very easy user interface that makes it simple for those who are not as "tech savvy" to understand and utilize. We use Qminder at a high school as a sign in system for students to use and counselors to track student visits. Students seem to find it fairly simple to sign in for their assiged counselor and not need any type of training to use the system. I also like the tracking it provides where I can see each student I saw each day and how long I was with them, which gives great data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since Qminder was not purposefully developed for a school to utilize as a sign in system, there has been difficulty if all counselors are not available, as at least one line must be active at all times. We also have challenges where students sign in for the wrong counselors and have confusion on what to select. That being said, that's not a system issue, but more how Qminder is being utilized. I find that having different categories to choose from are helpful when offering customer support. Also the different sound effects it creates make it easier to organise the queue.
