At the time of using the tool (2022/2023): We were using the tool daily at key stages in the develpment of our project. The best thing about QA touch is it is cheap for bulk licenses compared to other tools. It is basic and reasonably straightforward to use.
It is easy and quick to set up new users. QA touch provides lots of users guides and help documents
The team can sometime reach out and be very proactive and seek feedback and fix things promptly and then at other times I have experienced a lack of response and periods of no contact.
They do free trials of their tools for limited periods.
There are several integrated features such as Jira, Monday.com, GitHub, GitLab, also issue tracking integration with Trello, YouTrack, Redmine. There are other collaborations too, such as with Slack, Azure, Bitbucket, Bugzilla and Asana. We used the QA Touch standalone Test and issue tracker only and basic test import using spreadsheets, even that had a couple of issues with placement and order of imported data which required manual workarounds. At the time of using the tool (2022/2023), we could submit enhancements but only one per company which means a company with a 1000 staff and a company if 5 staff can submit a request and they both carry the same weighting.
There are lots of UI quirks, which are annoying, and it makes it tedious and frustrating to work with. They offer lots of fancy tech functionality and yet have not got the basic functionality right. in my opinion.
Usually there are workarounds, but they take more effort and time. The UI issues are plentiful and therefore reduce the user experience quality significantly. It comes down to money. If you need a very cheap testing tool and the low cost is your key driver or constraint, then I would recommend it. It can store tests and link defects and has some automation features and can produce reports. The free trials are not long enough to properly evaluate the tool. I did get mine extended as I was evaluating tools for clients, but I had to fight hard and repeatedly so, across several staff to get the extension, which was very disappointing as I had a valid exercise to do and was considering them for recommendation to a client. That left a lasting impact. QA Touch need to listen more closely to their user base and fix some of the most annoying UI issues. My favourite test tool by far is AzureDevOps. I like UI of application, Lot of new features are avaiable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Test case interface is not user friendly. For example when we open test case, test case detail section infomation is not priority for user but that details are highligh at the top. rather than if you make change that show details in short space . It will be user experince Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Advantages I highlight:
Modern and easy to use interface.
Highly customizable to suit our specific needs.
Top-notch technical support and constant updates that add value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The investment in the premium versions seems expensive to me, and there should be premium features in the free version.
Some advanced features require a little time to master, but the effort is rewarded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The separate pages or sections for test cases, management, reports, board, etc. are the greatest. Also, the share option that summarizes everything into a clean graph is amazing. Easy to implement all the necessary things. Ease of integration as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Could have been more nicer if there was a export to document or a test suite template option available for more ease of sharing and documentation purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the fact that even the free version gives the mainlly features to make a good control of quallity, also it's simple to use an implement test cases. Another fact that must be mentioned it's the customer support with every single time I've repoprted some new feature or bug has been responded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion the only point that could be better is the small company plan, in my exemple work in two QAs each one in diferent projects, though we must contract the plan up to ten users even if we will be only two users.
Also the traduction for other languages could be better (more accurated) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The overall insights and managment is very straight forward, and test execution is very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With new tools like browserstack which allow user to run multiple test across different browser, test managment comes in complimentary. Also, it would be good to add a chat gpt or open api hook to help testers create different scenarios and move those scenarios as test cases in qtest.
I've personally created test cases on chat gpt and added those cases on qtest using excel, but would be good if you can ask simple inputs like basic details around the srory or functionality and number of test cases etc. and add test cases directly from chat gpt output api response. I am just a beginner. So I cant judge the drawbacks of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integration with Jira allowing us to create issue tickets within QA Touch Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A little slow when it comes to searching Jira tickets to associate with test cases. Takes maybe 10 seconds to retrieve the ticket number from Jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
