What is PushPress?

PushPress is a full-stack gym management system that is here to help you grow your fitness facility. With PushPress, you'll be able to manage classes and privates, take payments, track attendance, manage leads, and maintain member relationships all from the palm of your hand! PushPress was founded in 2012 to solve the modern-gym owner's problems. To truly understand those problems, we decided to open a gym and go through the pains of building and running a gym. When we came up with problems in our gyms, we would explore how technology could help solve them. The result is a platform that can integrate with third-party software to allow gym owners to build the system their business needs, a system that is easy and intuitive to use for the gym owner on the go, and paired with rockstar customer support (who all have owned gyms)

Product Description

PushPress is a gym membership and management software platform that helps gym owners to run their fitness facility. The suite of products allows users to manage classes and privates, take payments, track attendance, manage leads, as well as manage and maintain member relationships. Users are able to access all system features via mobile device while on-the-go, including built-in complimentary task based apps.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

PushPress is a software built by gym owners.

We built PushPress to solve the needs of gym owners, through the lens of being a gym owner, ourselves. Every other solution we tested, was too complicated, not powerful enough, not customizable enough, or had terrible customer support.

We pride ourselves in being on the ground level and in the community of passionate business owners, set on helping their communities get healthier and more fit. We've built several online groups of thousands of other gym owners, to collectively share what is working in their communities. And in 2020, we created the PushPress Grant, to help provide some financial help for gyms that needed it the most.

Gym management software should be more than a tool. It should powerful, customizable, and easy to use. It should help you build community. If not, ditch what you have and join PushPress!

What do you like best about PushPress?

Push press has been extremely user friendly for our members and for our staff. And the customer service has been on top of their game! Quick to respond and help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PushPress?

Push press uses Stripe as the credit card processor and we've have few issues with them holding our funds but we are working through it. We also wish Push Press had a code to link the wods onto our website! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering PushPress:

Make sure your members have their email address up to date so they receive the migration emails! Very user friendly app for your members once they get connected! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PushPress solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is PushPress solving and how is that benefiting you?

PP saves me a lot of time by making things like income, and member tracking. The member app is insanely useful to see which classes will be busy and how to prep. I also love the fact that I can send out links for members to sign up with or sign up for drop in's/trials. I love the fact that you can add in other apps that might be useful and that they integrate with the PP software. I said it above but customer service is incredible. The team always has an answer for questions, and the reply time is super fast. They also gave me some good advice in setting up my account and gym.

My only dislike would be that you technically need to have another app to track workouts. It's not a huge deal to me, but my members like to complain about it. I also wish there was a quicker way to sign in people that have reserved classes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PushPress?

More than anything, I LOVE the support from the team at PushPress.

Wish they had a feature? They'll hear your request and do what they can to see if it's possible.

Confused about a feature or need some help? They're always there to answer questions and make sure you're up and running.

I've even taken a full on course with Eric from PushPress who walked me through how to run an amazing clinic for my clients...that was ABOVE AND BEYOND!

What do you dislike about PushPress?

Nothing really, there's some features that I would like to see, but more than a handful of them have already been rolled out, and the rest seem to be in the works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PushPress?

The most helpful thing about PushPress is how helpful they are. I’m located on the east coast, they’re on the west coast and no matter what time of day or what day of the week I contract them, I get a prompt and friendly response back.

Also, I love how much Business help they offer. The PushPress user group on FB and through Dan’s emails - they’re always offer so much better business help and advice. What do you dislike about PushPress?

What do you like best about PushPress?

The Pushpress program, offers a solution for almost all elements of our business: checking in customers, selling retail items, and managing memberships with robust reports on revenue streams. The integration with the other apps we use like Sugarwod and Mailchimp are also nice. The customer service with Nick Reyes in Kansas City, has been great too. What do you dislike about PushPress?

At first, we struggled with how the retail sales were classified in the program because of our accounting system. However, we modified our journal ledger and just deal with the general classification (vs. breaking it apart). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PushPress solving and how is that benefiting you?

The fact we can operate a cashless business is a value to me. With PP, we can greatly minimize, if not reduce the use of cash in our operation. What do you like best about PushPress?

What do you like best about PushPress?

User friendly software, amazing team, very responsive when issues arise, they go above and beyond in helping their clients with all aspects of their business. I have found that PushPress is extremely cost effective. I have used systems in the past that were more expensive, but less roust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PushPress?

If something changes there is a learning curve to get used to the change. 99% of the time I learn to appreciate the change, but it takes me a while to get used to it. I wish it was easier to customize billing, but I have implemented work arounds and the systems works for me now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PushPress solving and how is that benefiting you?

It handles all of my CRM needs. Even in the process of exploring some of the features that I haven't been using. There are a ton of automations that can be set up....and lots of support to get them set up. There is an active and engaged Facebook User group where other gym owners and Fitpros share information, ask questions and problem solve. The PushPress team is also there to deliver great content. What do you like best about PushPress?

The easy ( 6 hours to setup) end to end business site done by myself successfully :).

Adding plans is very very easy.

Sending emails to members as well, plus some capability to follow up on leads ( it is a bit mixed since I have Hubspot / CRM to do this)

What do you dislike about PushPress?

Not simple to add specific graphics, it is very hard to understand the metrics, the business webpage needs the ability to be re-designed, and the integration of the apps is not simple ( I'm still not capable to add workouts).

1)How to ensure I do not lose clients and revenue ( making transitions from excel based to automated)

What do you like best about PushPress?

I love the ease of use and the constant updating of different applications, they are very on top of what us users need and are willing to guide us through the process. What do you like best about PushPress?

There are so many easy to use functions. The customer service is phenomenal, they go above and beyond for their clients. I have learned so much since being a customer. The app for the clients is also great for them to sign up to classes, buy packages, etc. The landing pages are easy to set up and to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PushPress?

I use a punch card system for my small group classes. One thing that customers note that gets confusing is when they may have two active cards, they may start using the newer one prior to using up the remaining punches on the older card. And then at times, that older card may expire or come close to expiring. I have made it a point to instruct them to be sure and use all of their older punches first. One other downside is not being able to send attachments to emails to clients. Instead, you have to use a google doc form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PushPress solving and how is that benefiting you?

I literally learn something new on a daily basis I feel. I am getting ready to run a promo for my monthly virtual membership. I had set it up to run as 1 month free and then start to pay; however that does not require customers to enter in their credit card -- workaround by awesome customer service - set it up as a $1 for the first month and THEN it will automatically charge the normal rate the subsequent months. As far as problems I am solving with Push Press - it is the backbone of my business - it is how I track my revenue, the breakdown of my sales, my appointments - it is a one stop shop that works great for me!
