Protonmail offers an encrypted, safe e-mail service for private users and businesses. We use it for both my companies (consultancy, NGO) and have been a paid user for over two years now- other e-mail providers did not have encryption, and provided less safety. In this time, protonmail has rolled out new features, such as a storage and a calendar function. My interns like the storage function best, and also use the calendar function. I had a few troubles finding certain functions like payments etc. in the old version of protonmail, this has improved. It is still difficult to set up new domains, but- on the plus side- their support team will be fast to respond and helpful in solving the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Proton Mail is, of course, an encrypted email service, but it's growing into a secure all-in-one solution. They offer encrypted email, their own vpn software, email alias', and are beta testing encrypted file storage and calendar services. The best part is that there is a free version with limited features, not a trial to keep track of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything thus far that I dislike. Instead, I'm impatient to see how the company will continue to develop their "ProtonMail Bridge" software, which is for the secure connection and import of one's ProtonMail email to an outside software, such as Microsoft Outlook (the stand-alone version, not web-based). Protonmail offers extra security to our mailbox with additional mailbox password feature. This protects my emails all the time like it's a dual security to my emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing. Free plan offers only 500MB storage and 150 messages per day for sending. This is very pricey and they should increase their storage capacity for free plans to at least 5GB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its graphical interface is very intuitive, following the patterns of other mail services, so its use is quite comfortable. The best thing is how secure the communication is; being encrypted it has kept my information out of the reach of any attacker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some functions and settings are hard to find, if it was a little more organized it would be perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use proton email because of how secure the server is. The platform is also easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the new proton drive allowed you to create files rather than just store them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Protonmail offers users a plethora of fantastic features which competitors just cannot seem to match from numerous perspectives, whether it be email encryption, interface simplicity, ease of use, and pricing. When it comes to email encryption, Protonmail is second to none, as it prevents anyone from hacking into your sent or received messages. This makes Protonmail a perfect email service for both professional and personal users alike, as sensitive business, financial, and familial information, (among other forms of information ), will not become exposed to unwanted guests, and that adds piece of mind to users of Protonmail like myself. Interface simplicity is a very big plus as well, as the portal on which email exchanges take place is not filled with any unnecessary clutter such as advertisements or buttons/links which serve little to no purpose. While the interface itself is very organized and simple to the eye, that does not take away from its exceptional features and functionalities, such as the ability to create customized folders for easy access to important emails as well as the ability to mark these folders using colored tabs, in addition to a number of other very convenient features for ease of use, which leads me to my next point. Based on past experiences, I have found that nearly anyone can get a hold of and understand the ins and outs of Protonmail when it comes to its functionalities, features, and how to use them in a relatively short manner. I say this particularly because one of my coworkers, who isn’t very tech-savvy, (to say the least), was able to obtain a solid grasp of Protonmail and how to make use of most of its features in a quick fashion, (a fashion very much unlike what it takes for that particular coworker to learn other softwares based on previous software trainings). As such is the case, Protonmail makes for a great email service for anyone, ranging from those who are new to email, (including young children), to those who have had years of experience using email and who might want to transition to a simpler and more secure experience. Lastly, I also feel that it is appropriate to mention the cost, or in some cases the lack thereof, of the Protonmail service. For basic users who are interested in a relatively small email storage space, the service is entirely free, which is exceptional, especially when considering the fact that advertisements are absent even in the free version. While the free version of the service usually suffices for most users, those who need extravagant amounts of email storage can opt-in to the paid version of the service, which charges very reasonable rates when considering competitor pricing and the overwhelming feature and functionality availability on Protonmail. Overall, I find Protonmail to be a great email provider, and would undoubtedly recommend it to anyone who might be interested in giving it a try. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After giving it much thought, I really could not come up with any negative comments about Protonmail besides the fact that sometimes incoming email push notifications are delayed by a couple of minutes on a smartphone. While this is a very small bug that I am sure can be worked on and ultimately fixed, it does on rare occasions lead to a bit of frustration when someone is waiting for a timely/important email. As a result of this bug, it would require the receiver of such an email to manually refresh the Protonmail inbox to see if anything has been received, in order to avoid a potential push notification delay of up to three to four minutes. I also think that adding an additional layer of security upon entry into the mobile app can be a good feature, as it would only contribute towards the betterment of the already secure nature of the service. I think that this layer of security can come in the form of a four digit pin, Touch ID, Face ID, etc. Outside of these two very minor aspects of Protonmail which can be worked on for further improvement, I really cannot point out anything else as a negative, which is a very good sign for potentially interested users. I honestly love the level of quality that Protonmail service offers. I dare to say that this platform is the best you can find on the entire face of the internet.
Protonmail is an encrypted email service, which is subject to the user's privacy.
I like its interface, because it is very easy to understand, has an ergonomic and intuitive design and allows me to configure it according to my preferences. It has a wide variety of themes and colors to customize the system and allows you to create shortcuts with direct keys according to the tools you use the most; the menu is at a glance and is also customizable.
What I appreciate the most is that this platform really takes care of your information as a user. I had unpleasant experiences with similar platforms that promise to take care of your data and what they really do is extract your information and interests and sell your preferences to third parties in order to bombard you with advertising, but Protonmail is not like that, I have had a very pleasant security experience. Protonmail is the best platform that exists, I am really very happy with it, however there are certain details that you have to take into account if you think about hiring their services. The first is the small amount of storage it has, because when you want to communicate with your customers and your company is growing you need more space every day.
Then there is the detail that every time the platform is updated your customized configuration is lost and you have to reconfigure everything again, which is a hassle and waste of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that i know it's secure and that my data is private and not being sold to anyone. I use it for secure emails but would definitely consider other products like their VPN in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is honestly nothing i dislike. It's secure and easy to use. They don't spam you with promo email. It's a good quality Service worth paying for. I really can't think of anything to improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To be more specific about what I like most about Protonmail. It is that it is an encrypted email service, subject to user privacy. This is essential, not all providers offer it, most providers will extract your information and trade it to third parties. It also has an excellent team that provides help as soon as possible, and it offers the possibility to choose different themes and designs, keyboard shortcuts, quick filters to sort emails, and a new "application selector". They are all wonderful things I could tell you about this service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I have not had any kind of problem with this service. There is nothing I dislike about ProtonMail. It is an exceptional service. Its new design simplifies the use of the service and provides a variety of customization options without significantly affecting the main function, which is to protect messages and contacts through encryption. So far, nothing about the service offered by ProtonMail bothers me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about protonmail is the extreme end to end security that it offers to its users, this generates a comfort and peace of mind because I know that the emails I send nobody can intercept or hack them, neither the emails nor the protonmail account can be intercepted by anyone who tries to obtain the data by force, protonmail is a transparent company and will not sell your information or data to the big companies in the market nor spam your mail, privacy and personalization is absolute and that is what I like about this platform. The negative side of this platform is the little storage space offered in the paid plan, companies require massive amounts of space to send a lot of information through the web and protonmail does not collaborate much in this aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
