Top Rated Planview AdaptiveWork Alternatives

Clarizen is a great tool to project managers and they can do day-to-day tasks project planning, resources allocations, budget management quickly. Our Users adapted the tool very quickly and they like it. Clarizen is extremely user-friendly and I had a very good experience with Clarizen. The product is very flexible. It's a lightweight tool that can manage a lot aspects of project management.
Using CSS, HTML to customize some of its UI is great, even it can be used to customize CSS based on permissions and migration from MS projects works well. The resource management and time sheets are the best addons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a software developer with 2 years of Clarizen support/admin experience, I can say, API can be used to read/write most of the Clarizen data, but it cannot be used in provisioning custom action, workflows, etc. Clarizen data model/ config/ workflows are not as matured as MS office 365, salesforce workflows, actions, etc, and have few limitations. Not ideal for massive organizations, but it can do the job.
A lot of reports cannot be downloaded as PPT and even downloading projects, reports, etc as spreadsheets also slow and load time for the reports is very high Moving the config between environments is not so smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The tool is very customizable, and most people with little coding experience will be able to build custom workflows and processes. The views are easily changed with no coding needed, and the hybrid Jira board views are excellent for scum-style projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Almost nothing works well out of the box; many processes are completed outside of the tool and then entered into the tool. The support for the product is lacking; with Clarizen being bought by Plainview, there are different growing pains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the dashboards and the system to register the hours spent in tasks, inside each project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The problem with Clarizen (Planview AdaptiveWork) is the price, and it is also not so easy to configure. There is not much material to learn how to use Clarizen, so we had to learn by ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very customizable and able to fit your individual needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You have to understand what it is you need and want, which is much harder than it sounds. Very iterative process. It is a complex beast, you really need someone to be an expert in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to communicate within a project and review archived conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way it was originally setup for the company I work for needs an overhaul which is expensive and time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not able to lock the view of the onscreen project. Sometimes, the reporting of your ongoing projects is not up to mark. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really enjoy that Clarizen One is very customizable. Another great benefit is that our Customer Success Manager, Andrzej Lechowicz, is phenomenal and always attentive no matter how busy he is. Dashboards and reports are pretty easy to create especially if you are someone in IT. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the disadvantages at this time of the product is that it is not very friendly for the agile methodology. In order to get it to report out in a way to eliminate double-entry in other systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira, you need 3rd party integrations. We are working through figuring out how to best continue to utilize Clarizen One instead of a new product. We've invested a lot in Clarizen and prefer to stay with their solutions.
It is also resource intensive if your project plans are detailed. It can lock up or slow to a crawl. I believe Clarizen is working on this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's not much to dislike about Clarizen. The initial learning curve of using the tool is quite steep as it's packed with features but it's all worth it after wrapping your head around it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This software's ability to handle the processing of resource time allocations and rate management is impressive. The reporting feature is handy, and once the data schema is fully understood, you can generate valuable reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This sofware is not as user friendly as one would like when it comes to the creation of business processes. This feature could be improved upon by enhancing it with it's own business process development module. Customizations are availabile, but you must be very well versed in the data structure in order to master the functionality required in order to generate automated processes. You have to purchase Professional Services expertise in order to get the support you will need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
