What do you like best about Phrase Localization Platform?

Using the Phrase Localization Platform allows me to benefit from a CAT tool that is extremely easy to use, implementing projects is a breeze and every time I reach out to customer support, I get a reply within only a few hours, which is great in an environment where time is of the essence.

I use Phrase every day, it's my main tool for work as a translator. The many features it has allows me to do everything and anything I want. It's also very easy to integrate when I need to set up a fellow translator in the system or if I have a huge project going.

What do you dislike about Phrase Localization Platform?

There aren't too many downsides to using Phrase. The only thing is you really need to make sure to check your settings for AI MTUs so that you don't run out. Help from the AI is really useful but if you rely on it too much, it can become a problem.

While Phrase has changed it's AI MTUs settings so that they get used up quickly if you don't look into your settings, the AI does a tremendous job. It's just a matter of tweaking your settings accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Phrase Localization Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main issue when you're a translator is time. How can I translate as many words per day as I can and still provide high-end work that will allow me to keep the clients I have and get new ones referred to me? While one usually can produce around 1,500-2,000 words per day, with Phrase you can basically double that workload. This in turn allows you to accept more work and be more profitable as a business. Plus the quality level doesn't go down, which is usually the case when you take on more work and don't benefit from good tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well for me the downsides of this tool called Phrase is because every work that I finish in case I do something wrong I wont be able to go back and fix it, I would like a small feature that can tell me like "Are you sre to complete this work and close your access to Phrase once completed" something like. What do you like best about Phrase Localization Platform?

In our company, we made a great qualitative leap by starting to use Phrase Strings. It has allowed us to optimize the multilingual management of our product, and we use it daily. A great improvement compared to how we managed it previously. It is an intuitive tool for daily work with many possibilities yet to be explored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Phrase Localization Platform?

The implementation has been lengthy as we had to adapt our code to Phrase, and we still feel that there is much room for improvement in certain details for daily use (filters, integrations, the terminological base, connection between projects, improvement of analytics), but even so, in our daily work, it is more than sufficient.

We started with a very archaic management of multilingual translations. It took us a lot of time to keep the translations of our product updated and it was very costly. Now we have optimized this process thanks to Phrase and its management is much more manageable. It has also allowed us to unify terms and translations by having a more global vision. This is about TMS:

- To keep the overview as Project Manager is not that perfect. I like the "Jobs" section to get a good overview, but still some features are missing there, so you need to switch quite often to the "Projects" section. The "Projects" section is not very user-friendly.

- I am missing a lot a global search within TMS. F. ex. if you want to check, where a term has been used and translated (in different projects and/or jobs) it a nightmare, because there is no global search available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Phrase Localization Platform?

I love the fact that Phrase Localization Platform has a built in version control system that records every change made in the localization process. It allows there to be no confusion upon revisiting previous translations, and where to begin from. For this reason, this feature has proven to be key when we have to constantly update our products, because it allows us to avoid conflict translations and working as a group becomes much nicer. What do you dislike about Phrase Localization Platform?

The major drawback of Phrase Localization Platform is that it lacks an intuitive error handling mechanism. The platform does provide some alerts, but they are never specific to the problem and do not provide actionable suggestions to resolve them. With translation uploads coming up errors sometimes occur, and since these errors aren’t always too obvious and thus not easy to solve, it can be frustrating the times that errors do happen when interpreting. Without a doubt, Phrase Localization Platform has made our content localization much faster and more accurate. Handling multiple languages has been a crap shoot of a process until until now and it’s removed all of the hassle of having to manage multiple translation versions in our team. This has enabled us to reduce errors when launching products worldwide, as well as to increase the quality of translations which has also raised customer satisfaction.
