"Great Monitoring and Support, but Card Expiry Notifications Need Improvement"
What do you like best about PEX?

Easy to monitor and the customer team is very knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PEX?

The only issue I had with packs was one re-issuing cards that were expiring. It was a little bit confusing as I got an email saying that I had expired cards, but it didn’t specify which of the large list we have on the email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We’re happy to hear PEX makes it easy to monitor spending and that you’ve had a great experience with our support team. We also appreciate your note about reissuing expiring cards. We do post a notification on every admin’s dashboard that lists all cards nearing expiration, and that link takes you directly to those specific cards. That said, your feedback about improving the email notification is very helpful, and we’ll share it with our product team for review.

What do you like best about PEX?

Pex is an easy way to see the finance activity and to route finances as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PEX?

The pre-paid cards have been frustrating for our staff. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to the instances when the cards are denied. The team doesn't have confidence in them and are often frustrated when they have to pay out of their personal accounts because the card was rejected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When taking a look recent declines show the amount exceeded the balance on the card as the reason. What do you like best about PEX?

Being able to upload funds to our employee and scholar cards immediately can prove important in an urgent situation. Any issues I run into with this is promptly handled by a customer service representative as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PEX?

Sometimes navigating the platform can be a bit clunky especially when utilizing the apps such as the batch funding app or the funding scheduler. Since I'm in the platform often I'm able to find a way to make it work, but those new to the platform have more difficulty with figuring out how to use these apps efficiently. What do you like best about PEX?

It makes it so easy for our volunteers to run their projects and its so easy for us to manage as adminstrators. Our volunteers love they dont have to lay out money and the cards have funds. "The best Petty Cash replacement yet"
What do you like best about PEX?

PEX takes the cake in terms of ease of use and implementation. my company uses PEX cards to replace petty cash on projects. Rather than having cash and change and dealing with sometimes not getting receipts, we use PEX cards.

Admins can easily activate or close cards, add funds a track spending and costs. We can even tag spending to specific line items in our budgets. PEX offers good customer support and fast reaction to needs such as fraud charges or glitches in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PEX?

I think there can be some better and more efficient user interface with PEX. I want to have to click around less to do what I need to do but that is only my preference and not a demerit. And of course, PEX cards can only be used at vendors that accept cards so its not a full 100% replacement of petty cash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PEX?

We are in the live entertainment industry that entails a lot of hospitality expenses. Prior to switching to PEX, we were ordering cash on a weekly basis to fulfill contract riders. What do you dislike about PEX?

There isn't a downside outside of me learning and understanding all of the features. I've run into trouble with TAG manager after learning your cannot delete a tag once it's been created. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PEX?

I like that it allows our employees to access prepaid cards to access funds and conduct business. I love that PEX as an app that allows them to upload and tag their expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PEX?

The QuickBooks Online integration imports every night. However, if an employee adds a receipt to their transaction three days later, that transaction is already in QB without the receipt and I have to go back a check for new attachments after import. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding your QuickBooks comment, it sounds like your connector may be set to sync all transactions nightly. We recommend configuring it to sync only approved transactions, this ensures receipts are attached before syncing. You can also enable receipt reminders and Auto Enforcer to help automate compliance.
