As an admin, I love how I can schedule future or recurring PerkUps to share my appreciation for my employees on special milestones or work anniversaries. We used to simply leverage Amazon Gift cards, but this expands the options for our team and is more flexible to their interests. My favorite part of the UI is being able to personalize the reward messages with fun gifs or images, and including a personalized messages. The customer support has also been fantastic (frequent check-ins from their leadership team). Would recommend PerkUp to anyone looking to streamline their employer perks! Very minor... but it did take some light training when we first rolled the program out. That's typical with any new software. Super unclear on how to actually redeem the balance. Too many times my transactions were declined, including my gym membership which I've already used perkup for in the past. Their support is super slow and unhelpful, sometimes taking 3+ business days to respond to a simple question. When I got a late fee due to their issue with declining my ongoing gym membership, their only response was "Sorry! Try it again" without any offer of paying for the late fee.
No one at our company knew what constitutes health and wellness, and it was unhelpful that there are many items or retailers that were not covered automatically, such as Apple Watch and Smith Optics (which is a sports apparel retailer).

Probably, the only downside I see from here is that there is still a lack of selections out there for other types of activities or opportunities for other users, especially for companies that are looking for more advancements in the well being of their employees. It was unclear that the suggested vendors on the Home page were a sample and not the universe of vendors that I could use Perkup for. I had to clarify that the list was non-exhaustive with a representative, and it is still unclear to me what would happen if I tried to use my PerkUp card at a vendor that was not approved. There is little to dislike. If I had a magic wish it would be to have more UK-based options but I'm sure that will come with time. I am very grateful that I had an opportunity to use the PerkUp card. I love that I can use it as a regular debit card and pay on things that I wanted/needed. I also like where they would create suggestions on what we can use based on health and wellness. It introduced me to brands I had never thought of looking into. Nothing to really dislike. I would like to, in the future, have a debit card sent to me automatically. That way, I can use it in-store instead of online. I know we can also use this with Apple Pay, but having the physical card would be me better security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
