I noticed that Penny Inc. needs to improve transparency regarding its systems capabilities. It would be better if they provided a demonstration to avoid any surprises. Penny Inc.s expense monitoring software has obstructed our approach to managing business expenses. We need to worry about losing receipts and monitoring paper trails. Our accountant suggested we find an alternative to the spreadsheet we ran our driver's cost recovery information from and Penny has made it so much easier. We can easily manage all our fleet now and there is no risk of any misuse by staff (which has been a problem in the past). And it's free... no complaints there. We wanted to manage our cards in a way that gave better control of our accounting processes but didn't add to our costs. Also to reduce fraud or other issues to do with payments on behalf of the business. Best of all, it links to our Quickbooks so our accountant understands everything automatically. What do you like best about Penny Inc.?

What I like best about Penny Inc. is that it has given our organization a platform by which we can provide direct transfer payments on reloadable cards, while eliminating overhead costs. Our agency provides food/fuel cards to clients in various programs which we administer, but we lacked the available to be able to track these services once cards were issued out to clients. Penny Inc. has allowed us to obtain additional insight to customer needs based on spending patterns, and recover funds from lost or stolen cards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Penny Inc.?

The dashboard can be a little slow, and you may need to refresh the page in order to continue working. Also the balance seems to be throw by a few pennies after loading or various fund transfers (deposits/card loads) but customer support by Penny Inc. is very responsive in helping clear these issues. If you don't know if Penny Inc is the right fit for you, call them and ask! They're very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. They'll let you know upfront whether or not their system will be able to handle your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Penny Inc. solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously, we would obtain pre-loaded debit cards either via our financial institution (bank) or from a specific vendor (Wal-Mart, Grocery/Gas Store Chains) and had to pay a fee of around $5 per card that was being issued. With Penny Inc. there are no fees. We don't have to pay for cards, and the bonus is that they are reloadable, so each client receives 1 cards and multiple programs can provide funds into that one card over time. Cards can also be limited by vendor type (e.g. food stores, convivence stores) or alternatively you can leave them open and block certain industries (e.g. liquor stores) so that clients maintain flexibility of where to go to have their needs met, but stay within established program requirements. What do you like best about Penny Inc.?

I have been using Penny for over two years and we have not had any issues. Penny and its staff are always ready to help and resolve any issues as they arise. Penny always expedites new cards when needed. I usually send a support ticket several times a week in regards to ACH's. Penny and the staff always resolve my support tickets in a very timely manner. What do you dislike about Penny Inc.?

We use to be able to load our Penny cards with a credit card on file. This was especially nice so I could rack up on travel reward points. I really hope they get this back soon. Other than that, Everything is peachy kind with Penny. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Penny Inc.?

The website is very easy to use. Funds are transferred to cards fast. It has been very reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Penny Inc.?

There used to be an option to add funds via credit card instead of a bank account, allowing for immediate funds rather than waiting for the ach transfer. That was really convenient in case there was a last minute need for more funds than expected. It would be great if that was brought back, but in the mean time it is ok without that option. Not really Penny's fault, but my client also uses another app that feeds into QBO and I cannot take absolute full advantage of detailed integration as of now, but it works.... Again, this is not Penny's fault.... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
