What do you like best about Pendo?

Pendo is easy to use and pulling reports is intuitive and quick. As a CS Ops team member, tracking product engagement and the in-app guides have been the most beneficial product features. The guides are easy to create and any time I've had a question about creation, the Support team is quick to respond. The integration with Salesforce has enabled us to pull data fields into Pendo that are quite helpful with our reporting and segmenting data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

We have yet to figure out the integration to pull Pendo data into Salesforce. This falls on our internal team though so I don't fault Pendo for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pendo has completely changed the way I work, and honestly, I love everything about it!

Analytics – What a game-changer! Our org used to have WalkMe, and pulling analytics was a nightmare. It was an all-day task—extracting reports, cleaning them up, putting them into Excel, and then creating Pivot charts just to make sense of the data. But the first time I saw Pendo’s Dashboards? Mind blown. Everything I needed was right there, beautifully organized and easy to analyze.

Guides Configuration – Next level! The flexibility Pendo offers here is incredible. The code block is hands down my favorite feature. Initially, I missed the auto-click trigger from WalkMe, but then Pendo introduced Automate, and wow—it’s not just auto-click, but auto-fill too. It’s like getting a bonus on top of a bonus!

Overall, Pendo is an absolute game-changer, and I couldn’t imagine my work without it now. 10/10, highly recommend! 🚀 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

Simple and easy to use analytics with great integration options allow us to get the data we need to make decisions.

Technical account management is a must. It costs you a little more but multiplies the value you get from Pendo. Our Technical Account Manager has become a core part of our team helping us to get the data we need, configure Pendo in the right way (which is an important consideration) and onboard new team members.

Guides. Pendo allows you to augment your users experience of your product by presenting targeted help, information and requests for information. Guides have helped us make a positive change in our users' experience.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

The feedback module is not well supported or easy to use, we find ourselves using Pendo Feedback as a mechanism to collect feedback doing all analysis outside of Pendo itself which is frustrating. (though Pendo are building a replacement).

There are some inconsistencies in the User Interface. Different parts of Pendo have slightly different controls and ways of doing things. This inconsistency can make onboarding harder, especially for less tech-savvy teams, than it needs to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Pendo?

I like the abilitiy to leverage Pendo as another communication tool for customers. Sometimes email communication can be overwhelming or become stale. Pendo allows for us to switch up how we onboard, educate and introduce new features to our customers. In addition to that, with the wealth of data available, we're able to integrate that data in other systems to leverage Pendo activity in customer conversations. What do you dislike about Pendo?

Sometimes the ability to setup guides can be finicky and challenging. Overall it's easy, but when creating step-by-step guides, sometimes they are time consuming to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?

With a lot of changes to the software we're using, we like to identify what customers are and aren't doing when using our backend system. Pendo provides visibility to assist with technical escalations, to assist with eductational resources and also to help with onboarding and retention conversations. What do you like best about Pendo?

I analyze results within Pendo frequently, at least a few times a week, and monitor the responses from our customers via NPS and an in-product survey. Pendo provides a comprehensive view of user behavior and feedback, making it easy to understand how customers interact with our product and what they value most. Its analytics allow us to pinpoint trends, prioritize high-impact features, and identify areas for improvement with data-driven clarity. The feedback tool is especially helpful for capturing user input in real time, giving us a direct line to customer needs and helping to prioritize feature development. With Pendo, we can centralize insights across user segments, enabling a more targeted and effective approach to improving customer experience.

Customer support at Pendo has been great, with our team receiving weekly workshops on data analysis and responsive support from our representative when a question comes up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

One downside is the challenge with survey data extraction—currently, Pendo’s export options can be limited, making it difficult to retrieve survey responses in a format suitable for detailed external analysis. Integration of API keys for our data extraction process within Pendo has not been implemented, however, I think this would help to improve the experience. Additionally, Pendo doesn’t capture metadata at the precise moment a survey is taken, which can lead to inconsistencies in tracking user context and make it harder to align feedback with specific behaviors or segments.

Another drawback is the lack of customization within individual NPS and guide reporting columns, restricting our ability to tailor reports to specific needs or group insights in meaningful ways.

Additionally, implementing tags is very manual and has been an extensive process for our team to complete. If tagless data collection or automated tagging was enabled, this would save so much time. These limitations can require additional manual work to fill in gaps, reducing the overall efficiency of Pendo’s reporting capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pendo is helping us understand user behavior to enable data-driven decisions to improve our user experience within our products. We are also using Pendo to collect and manage feedback which allows us to streamline the collection of data and centralize and align cross-departmental teams with that data. Although I'm not working in this area, our company also uses Pendo to improve onboarding processes and feature adoption within our products using tool tips and guides to help increase time-to-value for our users. What do you like best about Pendo?

Pendo is a great tool to get your app or web product up-to-speed with real-time analytics. It's great for your daily at-a-glance look to view a dashboard and see how your product is performing, and great if you want to spend more time in the product discovering Pendo's other internal products (Orchestrate, Guides, and more).

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Getting used to using Pendo has a bit of a learning curve, but it does pay off. Implementing Pendo all over your site (tagging pages, creating track events, creating dashboards) also can be slow at first, but Pendo as a company and their technical account managers/customer support helps us along the way with every single question we have. What do you like best about Pendo?

I love that you can customize the guide and include video. It is helpful to follow the different templates and segment based on your product users and salesforce integrations. What do you like best about Pendo?

"Great reports can be created, intuitive to use, and new features are added frequently.

Sometimes it is not obvious how to define a feature's rule (custom CSS), but the built-in "framing" and Pendo tagging aid is a pretty good idea.

Pendo solves for a gap in user feedback tracking and ease of response. Having a centralized platform to be able to gather, respond to AND report on is a game-changer for me and my team as we pivot to focusing on specific user feedback for our release planning including new features, improvements and more. Additionally, by ensuring I can create pop-ups or banners in our platform to ensure quicker communication with users during outages or when known issues arise and limiting support calls, we can focus on other items and ultimately resolving the issue more efficiently. What do you like best about Pendo?

Pendo makes it easy for us to track user actions in detail; we can also audit sites to find pages without tags or with obvious problems; and it uses all the data retrieved from these tags to improve site speed. Constant updates completely improve our user experience and the interface is intuitive. The customer service is highly rated and very responsive. Getting comprehensive information about a service used to be a huge hassle, but with Pendo we can now track all the software services the company needs through the web. Behavior patterns and potential opportunities can be graphically displayed. The ability to run surveys and get immediate feedback has also helped us to improve the introduction of new services or features.
