What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Having come from PDQ Deploy/Inventory, just being able have better line of sight to my fleet of 1000+ computers is super exciting. I also like that everything is now in one place, rather than between two apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

That the devices do not compain the "Display Name" for the user, but just the logon name. I like being able to search for devices by the name of the user who uses it, and while that worked in Inventory it's not possible in Connect. I wish device statuses and deployment statuses updated a little more frequently. Aside from that, most of what I want is coming on the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

The flexibility and continued improvement, it seems like the goal is to reach full parity with the on-prem solutions. When the API and PowersShell scanners are released this will be a much more feature rich product. While it's not part of the application neccesarily, the roadmap letting you know what's on the horizon is a really nice touch from the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Reporting could be a bit better, an advanced report builder would be nice. Deployment errors could also use some work, you get a lot of noise, something that referenced just the last exit code would be great for people that develop their own packages. The UI could use a bit of work, most elements can't be copied in a meaningful way so you're stuck with the tedium of putting things in from scratch multiple times. Thanks for the review! Love to see the roadmap getting some love and I'll be sure to pass your feedback around reporting on to the product team. Cheers!

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

The deployment speed is probably the best thing about Connect. Our previous system took forever to send out packages, and we had no clue sometimes whether they properly deployed or not. With Connect, I can deploy an app to a device halfway around the world and it's finished in a few minutes...sometimes even under a minute.

The PDQ managed packages are great too. I no longer need to worry about keeping popular software titles up-to-date. PDQ does it for us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

We've been with Connect pretty much since it's launch. We realize it's still much in development and new features are still coming out, so we're ok with what we have so far. But we wouldn't mind new features being released a little more quickly :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

This is the first tool we have used to manage our remote computers. It is simple and easy to use and does not require a lot of system expertise which is important for a small non-profit. It was quick and simple to set up. We also use it to provision new systems and get them ready to deploy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I don't really have any dislikes at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I don't think it's very essential and there's plenty of other ways to automate application installation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I really like how I can organize the devices and update the software based on that organization. Developing packages is also extremely simple. Even when I have run into a few issues, PDQ is quick to respond to my ticket. This is significantly helping our IT Department be more effective in sending updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I need more details with some of the errors that appear. Additionally, even when scanning devices, the software shown is not always correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

It is speedy and fast to deploy to devices both on and off prem with Connect because it now uses an agent. It is super easy to deploy either via deploy and inventory if you already use it, gpo, or a small installer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

It's still new and has a few quirks and missing some of the functionality compared to their on premisis deploy and inventory products. They are actively adding in features though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Simplicity for deployments, reliability for connections Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

It's a bit of a pipedream, but I'd like for my existing PDQ Deploy packages to be able to be easily moved over to Connect Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Keaton Wagner of PDQ Connect

Thanks for the review, Eric! We are in the very early stages of developing a solution to move Deploy packages over to Connect. It's so early we don't even have a timeline yet, but we're working to not let your pipe dreams be dreams!
