OptiSigns Pros and Cons

Optisigns is very user friendly and has really great template options that you can animate to add that extra special pizazz to your announcement boards or whatever it may be that you are displaying. Our employees especially enjoy the contents and appreciate the change up of seeing the new slides each month. On the back end, the ability to navigate through the screens, edit and create is simple and very much made with the customer in mind. I really enjoyed the ability to set-it-and-forget-it once we had it up and running and then set our schedules. The timings worked and I was thankful we could run both stills and videos on all our screens. We started using OptiSigns for an enterprise level event that had screens spread out on multiple floors - so OptiSigns gave us that central hub where we could manage them all in one place. Initially getting it set up was a little cumbersome. We'd often need to delete a screen to then set it back up again to get it running. But once it was live, we could push our schedules out and within seconds, all our content was looping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was easy to install. I used Canva to create slides. I bought an optistick off Amazon in Canada. I preload the slides and any additions at home on my computer to the optisign website. Then I go to the tv on site and use a hotspot on my phone and upload it all to the tv. I have a smart/dumb Hisense TV. The slides are excellent quality and the picture. I did have to call the Optisign people as I wanted to schedule the on and off of the phone. They were super helpful and polite and answered the phone when I called - so that was wonderful. I liked the feature of scheduling however, I have to get wifi at our office where the tv is. I'm sure it will work great when I do this as I did do a dry run at home - with wifi and the scheduler worked well. In the meantime, the power of the tv works with a light switch and when the shop is closed the workers turn off the light/power. I leave the slides 24/7 on the optisign server. So when the shop is open and they turn the power switch on - the digital sign turns on and we don't miss a beat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I found that canva was easier to navigate then the slide creator on Optisign. They may be working on their site to improve this as I think it was new. Canva sometimes doesn't translate well to Optisign even when I use the app in the software. However, it wasn't hard to figure out a work around this issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how OptiSigsn has been a great ray of sunshine when transitioning from one digital menu provider to them. The software is user friendly, easy to adapt to and their support team has been nothing short of amazing, always responsive and helpful in our beginning stages. I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike with OptiSigns, at the moment I am still learning the ropes. I'm not sure if this option is available or not, if not this would be what I would dislike about OptiSigns: the option when 86'ing a menu item on the POS, being able to reflect on the menu boards instantly. Additonally, I wasn't aware that a keyboard and mouse was needed to purchase for the pro players to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We used to have marguee signs with our beer and food names, but wanted to move to digital signage. After some searching we found OptiSigns. Not only is the presentation side super easy to use, but the mobile and web portals are also incredibly user friendly and make building your assets incredibly easy. Limited Roku support, but this is due to changes with Roku and not OptiSigns. For the one TV using video, we purchased the Android Stick player and it's been great ever since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OptiSigns has been a game-changer for our digital signage needs. The portal is easy to navigate, and has made creating and managing content an absolute breeze. Setting up screens was simple, and the platform’s ability to schedule and update content remotely has saved us so much time and effort when managing multiple locations.

Their customer support has been great as well. Anytime we had questions or needed assistance, their support was quick to respond and very helpful.

OptiSign stands out more than other software, making it most useful to display content on a TV.

Our Executive Director is looking to have our centers display children's artwork, events, and important announcements to staff and families. I recommend this product to all fields, especially those in health care, senior care, and childcare as it is fun and raises awareness with ease.

The downside is the technical support. OptiSigns should have a stronger and more reliable team of customer support. If you need assistance, they should make ample time to meet with you to address any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easily I can upload Powerpoints to multiple TVs for easy access to information for meetings. It was extremely easy to implement with several different employees. I use it very frequently and there have been no issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a slight learning curve with how it works, I just recently learned that there are options that allow you to manually change slides. Before, I was just allowing it to change slides automatically and was not aware that we can change that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We signed up for Optisigns for a single monitor in our lobby to display info to our staff and clients. After much research, we used the trial to see how it worked and if we wanted to move forward. It was great! Love to use the templates that have almost anything you could need a sign for and even easier to just upload our own sign. Connection was easy. We went with the dongle in the TV and it is great. Also woanderful that it can be set to turn on and off by itself. Like the mobile access as well. While I think that the variety of templates is impressive, a few more generic varieties would be great. Everything is so colorful has a lot of designs. Sometimes a simple design is needed for a simple notice. Also an expansion to include a few additional holidays for closure signs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the overall ease of use of OptiSigns, its crazy how using the program to upload slides and then push the slides to our live feed works seamlessley. I also like that the site does not close or refresh while you are working on something. I can navigate to other tabs and still come back and pick up where I left off.
