I like that it is such a collaborative system. In any company of scale, it is hard to track people down and get a bigger team in a meeting that results in productive work. This helps things move more seamlessly and everyone is on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike is It is hard to get creatives to learn something new or to participate on something like this. It is definitely a project management or account based tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool is incredibly user-friendly and seamlessly integrates into our social media planning process. Its ability to provide visibility for various stakeholders within our organization is crucial to our success. The customer support has been exceptional—anytime we encounter an issue, the team is quick to troubleshoot and resolve it. I’ve never used a platform that is both this comprehensive and effective in developing social media plans and campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There’s not much to improve, but it would be fantastic if they added social media publishing functionality in the future. Having everything in one place would make the platform even more seamless and efficient! 😊 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find Opal to be a great collaborative planning tool for the different communications teams across our enterprise. There are a lot of options for making entries, filtering and searching, which I appreciate. It gives us the opportunity to see not just what's being published internally and externally across the company, but also among our teams and leaders, which helps us align our efforts. There are some features we're not using at this time, but the ability to implement those when the time is right seems easy enough, and overall it's a great tool. I don't know that the system is super intuitive. We've had to onboard our team several times and it required some effort to put our regular comms plans into the architecture of the site (themes vs. stories vs. moments vs. content). But we did get there and now it works great for us. I think the feature I'd most love to see is the ability to export boards or stories. The Opal software is great, but it would help to be able to export things to share with leaders or teams who do not have Opal licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The complete overview of all content pieces and to quickly move around posts as things and timings change. Also the look back to recycle best performing posts and assets from the past. Really easy to use once you are used to it and the connection to other tools like Sprinklr is very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first days are not easy because the tool offers quite a lot of possibilities. But after that, it is really easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a social media manager, we create a lot of content each month. I love creating a mock post within the platform itself so you do not have to click out to watch our videos play. My favorite feature is the presentation. Being able to put our content together this way and send for approval really streamlines the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could more easy duplicate and move content around. It would be nice to be able to mass duplicate and move an entire list over to a specific board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Allows for many disparate marketing teams to be able to align on marketing plans and execution. Everyone gets to have the visibility. Then those that need to collaborate between the inputs vs the execution have a place to track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like anything that tried to address complex business processes, the tools sometimes can feel complex at first. you really need a strong change management and enablement program to facilitate the rollout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the look and design of Opal. However, the funcationality needs improvement. I like the customer support that Opal provides and had only good experiences talking with their team. Overall, it has a number of features that are helpful. It's somewhat easy to use and can be learned quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Opal is buggy, and seems to be in a development stage still. There were times when you click and nothing happens, or links may be broken. There are missing features too that are specific to the social platforms. This is something that can be improved upon is aligning with the current platform formats, layouts, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the user-friendly interface, and how easy it's to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the multiple layers to set up content and primarily the slow-video loading within the tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to collaborate easily across teams in a big organization. Everything you need is in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the descriptions for the tabs can get too long and make the page cumbersome to work with. But that is more of a user issue than an issue with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Opal daily to review creative and its been a huge asset to our team and overall company. Everything comes through super hi res and easy to read/review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really. Some times it glitches a bit and assets dont load. But more often than not it works great and is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the visibility to be able to see everything in one place and collaborate with other people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are still features that can be incremented to help make it more seamless. Some features include real time sync to collaborate together, full integrations with other external parties, and streamlined workflows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
