What do you like best about Obit?

Obit is a fantastic tool for storing information, invoicing, tracking payments, organising staff and vehicle logistics and it greatly reduces the instances of human error. Recommendations to others considering Obit:

No hesitation at all in recommending this excellent product. Give the team a call a Lytesoft ask to speak with Richard Lynch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Obit solving and how is that benefiting you?

Communication is key in our business as all of our teams are involved in the managing of funerals, aty very stages, usually over 48 hours. From logistics to preparation, including transport and florist orders. Everyone can see their own role and can let others in the team know as soon as their part of the work is finished. The scheduling tool in Obit makes all of that happen very easily.

The ability to be able to select individuals to form a team is an excellent tool. Anyone in the company's 10 locations can see at a glance what staff are involved in any funeral at any time.

We can also use this tool when we are booking outside contractors, we can see if for example a singer or musician is already engaged therefore solving the problem of phoning around looking for someone's availability. The finance section is fully loaded and has worked very well with our sage package. Our staff also have the ability to take payments against outstanding accounts from any location making it easier for our clients to pay us.

The Software as a service works extremely well as we treat this simply as another utility bill in the business, no massive costs/bills associated either. No servers or upgrades to maintain or bigger electricity bills trying to keep servers at the right temperature. No extra space needed for housing big equipment either. Adding and removing users is so easy someone with admin rights can do this without it being a specific request to an IT department.

The customer service from the Obit is nothing that I have ever witnessed and I used to work for an IT company. They are "always on" Our requests are solved withing minutes most of the time using the companies on screen service when requested by a staff member. No hassle with critical data recovery either if the whole place went up in smoke we'd still be able to operate by simply logging on to a device with all of our information securely locked away in the cloud.

They are also always open to tweaking their service around our needs and we pretty much have a bespoke service at a fraction of the cost.

My advice to anyone considering a change is just do it! You wont believe the extra productivity your staff will have. Additionally the reporting tools are excellent. There is even a map system that you can see by location how much business any one of your locations has had over a period of time.

All around an excellent package that I'm more than happy to recommend. It has truly transformed our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease and clarity of use - little training required as the software is straightforward and relates to the manner in which funerals are arranged and managed. Inputting information and orders is simple, and information on the status of a funeral is very useful too. All aspects are included, e.g. obituaries, invoicing, customer details. What problems is Obit solving and how is that benefiting you?

Central location that can be accessed from anywhere.

The clear layout of the information is wonderfully simple and easy to understand.

Every part of the arrangement process, including third party orders, needs to be verified that it has been completed. This helps avoid oversights and mistakes.

The ability to see who is attending to different tasks is clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
