What do you like best about Nutshell?

What I like best about Nutshell is how clean and intuitive the interface is — it’s easy to onboard new team members without a huge learning curve. The pipeline and reporting tools are super helpful for tracking deals at every stage, and the integrations (especially with email and calendars) make staying organized effortless. It feels like a CRM that was actually built with the user in mind, not just the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

While Nutshell does a lot of things well, I wish there were more customization options for quotes and email templates — especially when it comes to formatting and branding. Also, deeper integrations with third-party tools (like some accounting or shipping platforms) would make it even more powerful. It’s not a dealbreaker, but a few more advanced automation features would go a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell is helping us stay organized and efficient with managing leads, tracking quotes, and keeping communication streamlined across the team. Before, we were juggling everything through emails, spreadsheets, and manual follow-ups — which made things easy to miss. Now, we have a clear pipeline view, automated reminders, and better visibility into customer interactions. It’s saving us time, reducing errors, and helping us close deals more consistently. What do you like best about Nutshell?

The dashboard is my favorite feature. I appreciate being able to view a lot of important details in one place. I rely heavily on the quick access to activities and tasks. I like being able to have multiple leads tied to one company and multiple people tied to a company as well. I came from an industry specific B2C CRM that was VERY different. At first I wasn't sure I liked Nutshell, but after using it more I appreciate the features and functions that better fit my B2B work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I'd like to be able to delay or schedule tasks that aren't tied to a specific schedule in the pipeline. It's not always obvious how to do what I need to do. The help articles are sometimes helpful, but not always. However the assistance I've received in the chat is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

Let me beging by saying how easy it was to get started with Nutshell. My business partner and I had been bootstrapping multiple platforms together to get our business off the ground. No real integrations, alot of manual inputs and disjointed data was hampering our ability to get our marketing, lead generation and account management communications in sync. I came accross Nutshell doing a routine search and was very quickly connected with their sales team and completed a 45 minute demo. Right away I was able to review their per seat pricing and realize a significant savings by consolidating some of the isolated platforms we were using since Nutshell had those features inbedded in their software. We were impressed with the onboarding process and within 1 month I was able to create new leads, import my marketing and lead generation email lists and create effective broadcasts to get our message out to prospective clients. We did hit a few snags but nothing out of the ordinary and their onboarding and help desk team coupled with their FAQ and AI generated support has been extremely helpful. If I need to contact a live support team member they have been responsive and friendly, willing to work until a resolution is found. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

As with all software, one size does not necessarily fit all and there are some improvements that can be made to fit the work flow of our MSP. With that said, the Nutshell support team has invited constructive input for new features and at times have been able to show me work arounds to accomplish what I need to make the application work for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell is bringing Marketing and Lead Generation coupled with multiple communication platforms to help us get our business message out to perpsective clients. The application is also helping me track deals on leads, reminders and follow up tasks and a pipeline that is quick to reveal priorities, potential opportunities and real time analytics with our sales performance. What do you like best about Nutshell?

The email marketing and tracking tools that Nutshell offers are some of the best I have seen or used. The ability to create beautiful, eye-catching, high-quality emails, email campaigns is extremely well designed and easy to use. Their email designer tool is so easy to use and extremely effective. I use it constantly. It's so easy to implement, and integrates flawlessly into the multitude of other tools I use daily for work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I'd like more customization ability in regards to how the user interface looks. I am a meticulous note taker, and I hate having to scroll all the way down the page to see my notes in regards to how a conversation or deal was last left off. I'd love if I could customize the page itself to my liking. The same goes for the dashboard itself. More customization options is always a good thing. It would make my constant use of Nutshell more enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Organization and timing are everything in sales. Both are abilities I would struggle with if I didn't have Nutshell as a tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Mitch! Our team is excited to hear how you're using Nutshell to create high-quality emails, manage your email marketing campaigns, and organize and automate your communications!

I also appreciate your feedback about having more customization options. It sounds like our Pinned Note feature is a good fit for you: it gives you the ability to pin important notes to the top of a contact's page so you can reference them quickly. You can learn more about Pinned Notes here: https://support.nutshell.com/en/articles/8428920-crm-records-how-to-pin-notes-to-your-timeline.

I've also shared your request for more dashboard customization with our product team for consideration in future updates.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

We’ve been using Nutshell as our CRM for years, and while no system is ever exactly what you need, Nutshell comes pretty close. Here’s what we love – and where we think there’s room for improvement.

✅ What We Like:

- Pipeline Management – Keeps our sales process streamlined and easy to track.

- Automation – Saves us time and ensures no lead falls through the cracks.

- Constant Updates – Nutshell keeps evolving with new features, showing they listen to users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

❌ What Could Be Better:

- A few features and options that would benefit us aren’t available yet.

- Like any CRM, it’s tough to find one that fits every need perfectly.

- Reporting is good but it takes a while to get used to how it works, we would like some options to have cards as reports!

That said, Nutshell is always improving, and we’re hopeful that, in time, it’ll become our all-in-one solution! We use it every single day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We’ve been using Nutshell for years, and it’s been an essential tool for keeping our sales process running smoothly. At its core, it solves a major challenge for us: it’s our central database for all prospects and clients, allowing our team to collaborate seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

I appreciate how Nutshell simplifies a complicated sales process for both beginners and experienced sales representatives. Unlike larger, more cumbersome CRMs on the market, Nutshell features an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to move tasks around. Integrating into our phone system was a breeze!

For me, sending emails or templated emails from within Nutshell has saved so much time from using a 3rd party email program and then having to mark the activity. Automated follow-ups, reminders, and lead assignments have also saved time. Other CRMs may have these features, but they go about it in a more cumbersome way - too many clicks, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Although it connects with key tools that enhance its functionality, it lacks as many native integrations as larger CRMs, which may necessitate third-party software for specific workflows. But if you keep it light, you shouldn't have that issue. For my use case, reporting is useful but not as deep as enterprise CRMs. All of this depends on your ORG and how it's structured. For my needs, it gets everything done! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell helps keep everything organized by centralizing leads, contacts, and communication in one place, so I'm never scrambling for info. It tracks deals visually (I love this feature), automates follow-ups, and syncs with my email to show which prospects are engaged. Plus, the reporting helps keep me on track with performance and revenue targets, while the team collaboration features keep everyone aligned. It’s simple, efficient, and lets me focus on what matters most—building relationships and closing deals! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Frank! We're excited to hear how Nutshell is simplifying your sales process, saving you time with email communication and automated follow-ups, and organizing all your essential data!

I appreciate your feedback about our native integrations. If you have specific integrations you'd like to request from our team, our App Marketplace solution may be a good fit for your team. You can learn more here: https://www.nutshell.com/features/appconnect.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

I've been thoroughly impressed with Nutshell, particularly the wealth of learning resources available. As a newcomer to the business world with limited CRM experience, I've found the webinars and supportive staff to be invaluable. Every obstacle I've faced has been easily overcome thanks to their expertise.

The interface is remarkably intuitive, with a clean and navigable display that's perfectly suited for pipeline management, marketing tracking, and client follow-ups. Overall, Nutshell has exceeded my expectations, and I'm excited to continue exploring its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The new features that came through with the 2025 updates have really raised the bar. I have yet to find something that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to have everything we could possibly need in one interface. As a small business Nutshell offers tools and services that we no longer have to look for elsewhere at an affordable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

The interface, features and functions are much more intuitive than a certain big-name competitor. Small businesses like ours have neither the budget nor the time to understand how to use overly complicated CRM databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

On a few occasions, the thing I want to do is not possible. This is rare occurrence, and often there is an alternate solution, but my recent attempts at email broadcasts have failed due to inadequate or improperly set-up DKIM, SPF and/or DMARC credentials. Will see if the Nutshell Call Center can guide me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

The best CRM products enable you to capture all aspects of a Sale, before, during and after the close. For example, attaching actual Orders and Terms documents, negotiated after the Close. Nutshell makes these tasks simple and easy (translation: salespeople will have no excuse not to do them) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Roger! We're glad that Nutshell has been easy to use and provides all the features and functions you need in a hard-working CRM without the hard-to-swallow price tag!

What do you like best about Nutshell?

The non profit I work for uses this software to have one place to track and follow up with people that are interested in knowing more about what we do (that hopefully leads to working with us). Once you understand what features are there, it is very easy to use. I am on and off Nutshell all day, and have to teach other teammates how to use it sometimes. The automations make it easy to communicate with your network once a new person drops into your pipeline. That takes one thing off of my plate, but still leaves a personal touch with the person on the other side of the email/text. Setting reminders (aka activities) keeps me on task without having to backtrack to figure out what my next step is. You just keep movig forward! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The hard part of Nutshell is the same as any tech related thing. You have to figure out the different features. Nutshell provides support and trainings that give you an overview of how to use it as well as updated trainings when a new feature is added. So, once you learn the new feature, you are able to integrate it into making your job easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

If it wasn't for Nutshell, I would have to keep a separate document to keep tabs on hundreds of people at a time, continuously searching my email to see if the person responded or if I still hadn't responded yet, having a separate calendar just for reminders to follow up with people after a certain amount of time, etc. However, with Nutshell, that is for the most part automated and all in one place. It saves me hours in my work day. I can just start doing the task I am supposed to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Kelsey! We're glad that features like email automations and activity reminders are helping you streamline your workflows while providing a personal touch to new contacts. Cheers to saving time and moving forward!

What do you like best about Nutshell?

I found out about Nutshell by posting a question on LinkedIn, "LinkedIn friends, what is the best CRM you've used? (please do not include SalesForce)." I had people respond with many platforms I was somewhat familiar with but one of my industry friends said he uses Nutshell and has for years. I reviewed their website and set up a call with Jared Knotts and learned more about the platform and its functionality. The platform is easy to maneuver and cost-effective for what I get with the monthly subscription. What I love most about Nutshell is the INCREDIBLE customer service. With my subscription, I'm able to upload an excel document with leads, current customers, contacts and their customer service team formats the headers correctly and uploads the leads for me. I've also had a slew of questions and receive responses immediately, which is very helpful. I'm very happy with the platform and recommend it to any company looking for a new CRM option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The only thing I dislike about the platform is there is not a way for me to just have leads and customers. When a lead is uploaded into the system, it's also a "company" which I don't like. With this said, I think there is a way to tag the "Companies" as with a lead or customer. I'm working on getting an answer to that question. This is the only complaint I have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used SalesForce the first year I was in my new job. I'm building my channel of business from the ground up and have so many leads. I was using Salesforce, got locked out and spent six months trying to get back in and never received a response back from their customer service team so I was tracking my business via excel document. I'm hiring a new salesperson for my team and need a place where all of the business is housed for us both to use. Nutshell has solved that problem for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you so much for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Leslie! Our team is excited that you've found Nutshell to be cost-effective, easy to use, and provides great customer support! I'm also glad to hear Nutshell is working as a single source of truth for your growing team!

As for your question about tagging Companies - you certainly can! Learn more about using tags for Companies, Leads, and People at our support article here: https://support.nutshell.com/en/articles/8429016-create-and-use-tags-in-nutshell.
