I love having a fun way to thank others for the work they do; recognition and positive affirmations are so important to a healthy and positive culture in the work place. Employees so often feel under valued and this is a great way to give kudos to anyone when you want to celebrate their work! Sometimes I get stuck on the values field as I don't feel the options available are the best fit for the recognition I am trying to send. I wish I could send it without the values or create my own custom value for the submission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that in addition to management, your coworkers are able to award you with nectar points. In the past the company would only do monthly and only 1 employee, but with nectar, we can award anyone, anytime they go above and beyond. I would say that the least impactful part about nectar is the UI for mobile phones that require you to log in quite often. At least for android phones, each time you want to check the nectar app, you have to login. This hinders the approach of being accessible to every employee instead of only management. My team uses Nectar on a monthly basis to provide a little extra recongnitition to other team members since we do a myriad of different activities on our designated work cycle. Nectar allows you to connect with other employees through, acknowledging others birthdays and work anniversary dates. It builds positive morale by allowing us to donate Nectar Points to each other, they know they are appeciated and thought of by somone else. Nectar is a great system to bring employee incentivization to the table. It offers rewards in a peer to peer system through recognition. Its invites employees to be helpful and to build relationships with others within the company to promote a healthy working environment. There are also a multititude of different gift cards you can obtain through spending points, quite a large selection, with two different digital any use cards available which is great. I wouldn't say its the most intuitive system. When I first started I was unsure of how to actually give points, I thought it had to do with the boost option instead of just making a post in a social media fashion and giving points that way. I love the fact that my job offers Nectar. It was a surpising new way for me to earn extra money rather than just my paycheck. I like the fact that I can show appreciation to others that I work with. Making a shoutout post for everyone to see, featuring emojis and gifs! I love being noticed for my efforts as well. Its motivating for me, and i'm sure many others. Nectar makes it easy to recognize staff, and to remember to do so. Every month an email arrives with points to give to team members, making the implementation of giving feedback regularly a breeze. Feedback is tied to our firm's values, and shoutouts can be made with or without points, publicly or privately.
