What do I like about Nectar.... It might be a simple question with a simple answer, but I am going to take advantage of this platform and tell my story.
FHF job offer came at a time where we (my best friend and I) had lost everything, where we were forced out off of a project, we had worked so hard for (my friend most of all, it was mainly hers I was you can say her personal assistant/everything else needed) and we were coming to terms our long-term goals were no longer a possibility (that life-path was gone). The worst part was this happen right smack in the middle of the week, I had to get a job ASAP.
It was Friday, we woke up early to have time for a nice morning routine, to enjoy our last walk - which at the time I wasn't aware of. We headed out determine to find a job that day, I believed that if I went out there and requested information in person, I would increase my odds. That they would smell the desperation wafting off of me, and I admit not having a phone pushed me to look for a job the old fashion way. It worked in the past, why not this time? I applied and requested information from different companies here in the city. Everyone had the same answer, no jobs offers/positions available until next month.. I couldn’t afford a week! Let alone a month! We had exhausted every resource we had, everyone wanted our necks for A or B reason, we had scavenged once, twice our home for every cent and penny we could find, I was on borrowed time... Exhausted, worn out and starving we decided to go to a nearby park, just to have a few minutes of silence... Out of nowhere my friend receives a message from one of the recruiters talking about a position available in customer service, training started that Monday (in two days) but wanted to make sure I would be committed, in a weary tone he mentions my regular schedule would be Tuesday through Saturday. I would’ve rather traded my soul than give up my weekends, weekends are for family alone, they are sacred, but having no other alternative I took it without hesitating.
When training started I was more worried about operations and what my job entitle. If there was anything that didn't involve my job as an operator or had nothing to do with my system it would slide off of my mind, I couldn't bring myself to really focused on the topic been discussed. On this matter, I am very grateful my training was more focused on where to find information, what to do in certain scenarios and information on every single process there was to follow. It was my kind of learning enviroment plus my training period was from Monday through Friday which gave me time to mentally prepare myself for my real schedule (I really needed it, thank you) The only reason I mention this is because I missed the part/day where Nectar was introduced. Maybe I didn't or couldn't grasp what Nectar was really about, I just knew that it was something I didn't need or couldn't assist when taking a call. (When writing this I had to double check Nectar, to see if it was the platform I was talking about. haha)
When I hit operations a co-worker of mine (s/o to Sergio D. < do people still use this haha) mention that I was able to access Nectar by requesting an accout with David Widtfeldt. In a robotic-sorf of motions I did as I was told no questions asked. For some reason I couldn't grasp the super amazing benefits Nectar offered. To my co-worker's credit I do remember him explaining Nectar but since I couldn't place a "face" to Nectar they were just words to me. The only understanding I had of Nectar was that I received points in a weekly basis and had points to acknowledge co-workers. I was just planning on letting those points accumulate and I would deal with them later but I loved leaving reviews. I belived the last 4 I left were my favorite. I didn 't want to only provide a name and a number, I wanted it to have meaning. So I would save those events that would stand out/impact/amaze me through my week and try to express them in my reviews. By some miracle a different co-worker explained for the third time what Nectar was and its benefits, this time I understood and was surprised at some of the benefits.
I am happy to report I'm fully aware and am participating in every activity within my reach, posted by Nectar. I love how Nectar complimetss and its an addition to that finacial stability I'm looking for and will have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reviews mention in the previous section, they were fun to make. One of the things that surprise me when leaving one of those reviews was when my co-worker turned around and mention that they will pay back those points.... I was blindsided for a moment, if thruth be toldI was aghast, I had not done it to gain points I did it because I was grateful and wanted to thank my co-worker. I don't like that is taken more as an exchange program than a platform to interact and leave a heart-felt review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it is a fun and super easy way to share your respect and appreciation with your colleagues. In previous jobs, I would have to fill out an online form, and at some point in the future, the person I wanted to recognize might get a certificate with the message from their supervisor. With Nectar, implementing immediate appreciation has been much easier. I also like that we can be awarded for time with our company, and completing training videos. With the monthly allowance of points, I also find myself sharing the love much more often and recognizing my coworkers more often than in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have any immediate complaints with the platform, but I have just started using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Nectar for a few months now and love it! It’s a great way to recognize my coworkers for their support and collaboration by giving them points. I also really enjoy participating in the Challenges. Recently, I shared a job posting on social media and earned 20 reward points, which was such a fun and easy way to earn more!
What I appreciate most about Nectar is how versatile the rewards are. I can redeem my points for gift cards, company swag, or even bigger items like smartwatches and earbuds! It’s motivating to see how the program keeps us engaged while offering meaningful ways to earn and redeem rewards.
Nectar has made recognition more interactive and enjoyable, and I’m excited to see what other challenges and rewards are offered in the future! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to forget about rewarding colleagues or even checking the challenges. The email reminders from Nectar help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nectar is a neat way to recognize coworkers with 'points' that you can redeem for cool items such as gift cards at cool places such as Ebay, Amazon, & restaurants! Each of us has a co-workers who takes time out of their busy day to help us...and Nectar gives you the opportunity to send points to that individual that they can redeem for something they enjoy! It's a quick way to say "THANK YOU" to a co-worker & letting them know you appreciated their assistance!! It's super easy to use and for those individuals who aren't 'tech savvy' it walks you through the process! It posts a 'shout out' for everyone in my company to see so anyone can see the individual recognized and what they were recognized for. I'm glad my company uses Nectar!! I've yet to find something I don't like about Nectar! Just being totally honest!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Nectar HR is how easy it makes recognizing and rewarding my coworkers. It's super simple to send shout-outs or rewards, and it really helps boost morale around the office. I also love how customizable the rewards are—whether it’s a gift card or an experience, it always feels like something personal. It’s a great way to make people feel appreciated, and it definitely helps create a more positive work culture. Overall, it’s a really great tool for keeping everyone motivated and engaged! Honestly, I haven’t found anything I dislike about Nectar HR yet. It’s been super easy to use, and everything works exactly how I expect it to. The rewards are great, the interface is intuitive, and it’s made recognizing my teammates really simple. I’ve been really happy with it so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nectar is a great platform to help drive the positive message our teams need to feel. The style and use of the platform makes it easy to recognize anyone for their hardwork and make sure the rest of the company sees it! Not one time have I recognized someone on Nectar and NOT gotten a happy reaction! I've personally witnessed shoutouts completely change the mood of the day. When people do well, they deserve the recognition and Nectar makes it easy to do that in a fun way! It's so easy to integrate it into your daily process and if you have a bad memory, automated reminders help us stay on top of it too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complaints so far! I haven't run into any issues other than some login problems but customer service fixed it so quick I didn't really lose any time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy using Nectar to give shoutouts to coworkers. I like to be able to use emojis and the gifs. I love the breadth of the gifs available. I especially love that many of the gifs are a little but unhinged. This allows users to really show their personality. It is so easy to use. There is never any confusion as to how many points I have to give. I like that the email notifications are not too frequent. I love being able to use it within Teams and that I don't have to go anywhere else to give a quick shoutout. I love that the notifications are customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not always able to use all of the emojis. I am not sure if this is because I use the Nectar app within MS Teams. It may be my organization settings; I'm not sure. Otherwise I don't have any complaints. I use it to give shoutouts, and I can do that effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love being able to see what is going on in the company and see others accomplishments. I enjoy participating in challenges and be able to connect with my colleagues that way. I check Nectar most, if not every day, and I try to be as involved as possible. Using Nectar has made me feel more connected to others in the company and it makes getting recognized even more rewarding that receiving it in a one-on-one conversation. The GIFs are sometimes quite limited so there is some room for improvement. Here and there, I have also seen some performance issues accessing the website. However, the issues have been resolved within a few minutes to an half an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love being able to acknowledge my co-workers when they do something slightly above and beyond that they normally wouldn't be openly acknowledged for. Showing appreciation to collegues for work well done increases productivity and overall morale and atmosphere in the work environment. It is very easy to use and straightforward. It's available to use any time as long as you have points left to give. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It isn't utilized to it's fullest potential by the members of the company. Points go unused each month, and it's almost always the same people sending Nectar shoutouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customizable features for challenges to enable behaviors outside of recognition.
Can be driven for manager recognition as well as peer recognition.
Receiving recognition.
Customer support is very responsive and takes a lot of burden from the admin to manage issues.
The end of month reminders are helpful - use spikes at month end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of communication about order placed on Amazon. A confirmation email would be nice right away.
I would like a column of employee full name in the financial report so I didn't have to manually do that for the report I need to generate for our accounting.
It isn't integrated into any of our other systems. Would be nice to have an app on Teams.
That I can't search or filter on the shoutouts - if my coworker asks me if I saw the shoutout about a topic but doesn't remember who posted it is impossible to find. An overall search on shoutouts would be beneficial. Not just a filter on department, location etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Nectar is how easy it is to use. The platform makes it simple to recognize teammates and coworkers for their contributions, which helps create a positive and supportive work environment. I also love that it provides tangible rewards, giving recognition more value and making it even more meaningful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I had to mention a downside, it would be the inability for individual contributors to make their recognitions private. As a manager, I have the ability to make awards or comments private, but it would be a great feature to extend this option to all employees. It would provide more flexibility for those who prefer to give recognition discreetly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
