We used Mine for our usual privacy operations (handling DSR etc), but I have to say that the real “killer” is their Data Mapping. Oh, the data mapping.
In a nutshell, Mine finds data sources that hold your users’ data, and gives you control over your SaaS “chaos”. It gives you insights like:
1. Data redundancy (when the same user’s data is spread across multiple sources, but you only need it in some of them)
2. Lack of data accuracy (when there’s a different piece of information in each source regarding the same user)
3. Systems redundancy (when you have systems you don’t even use/need anymore).
Add that to the fact that we found some “Shadow IT” (employees that left without deactivating their SaaS).
Mine also provides you with the sensitivity of risk for each data source, based on the amount of records and data type.
And best of all? It’s live, i.e everything changes in real time, which allows us to keep up-to-date with compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I first used the data mapping feature, I connected my own Gmail account and it started the scan. When it finished, I thought that I had the map of the entire company- which was false. It’s probably because I didn’t see that only “1 coworker is connected” (it’s stated at the top), but I’d love Mine to give more alerts and let you know that you need to connect more teammates to receive a full map. - Minimal to zero learning curve. The system is self-serve and self-explanatory, and we managed to get everything we needed in a matter of seconds.
- Very helpful support team. They provide personal assistance whenever we need, and they are our “privacy ops advisors” for new possibilities.
- The AI of their data mapping feature is super powerful, and we found it to be very accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing I dislike at the moment, but I do think that people should not go and upgrade to Mine’s premium plans initially. It would be a good idea to start out with the free version, then upgrade if necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of access on the portal dashboard and how simple it is to clear out requests. Also how helpful the Mine team has been with answering our questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes we are unable to delete information from a data source. Though it isn't ideal, the Mine team was very informative on the reasons a deletion request may fail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest highlight was building our company’s data source list. Their selection of data sources is great and growing very fast. I also enjoy how every request gets handled: you get the correct information at the right step, such as the evidence. That’s a great feature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice to have Mine in more languages, as a co-worker struggled with and I had to explain stuff multiple times. But after setting up the templates and automation, the process is almost entirely automated, so the language barrier is not that big of a deal. It also helps that you can leave your teammates’ notes on every request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since discovering Mine our company uses it for all our privacy-related duties as it helps us to fulfill incoming deletion requests and in-house data mapping in the easiest way possible. Everyone in our team is no longer reluctant when assigned to handling privacy requests because Mine’s Privacy Portal and its amazing UI are unbelievably easy and efficient to use. One of the many integrations we use is not included not featured in Mine’s data sources. But we reached out to their support team and got great feedback back that they are already working on implementing it. So we’re looking forward to having a fully automated coverage of our data sources soon. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve used 2 other “old-school” vendors for our privacy ops before, and the difference is night and day compared to Mine.
First, the initial setup. Oh my gosh, the setup. With Mine it’s SELF SERVE which means I first onboarded in the middle of the night without speaking to anyone. With other solutions, we had to make at least 5 zoom calls before we could access their platforms, and the implementation took about a month. With Mine? I was ready to go within 3 minutes.
Second, their support team. Mine is AAA when it comes to customer care. They answer anything in 2 minutes, with tailor-made solutions and practical info. The previous vendor we had here for privacy ops directed me to their lousy “Help Center” articles every time I needed support. Of course, those articles have never (even once) been useful.
Third, innovation. This is actually the biggest one. Mine is a startup, and it’s an advantage for them (and for us, as their clients). They do everything really quickly, release new versions literally every week, and are attentive to their clients specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The reports aren’t as detailed as I would like, but I know it’s being updated soon.
- The data mapping insights page works most of the time but not always. By refreshing the page it suddenly works.
- Sometimes there are new privacy requests and later, when they’re completed, you might receive additional email about it and the other agents in the company don't understand what happened. This one actually happened for us a while ago (6 months ago) and I think it’s solved now since it doesn’t happen any more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Mine PrivacyOps is extremely powerful.
Using real-time data flows inside our company’s environment, Mine PrivacyOps can detect privacy risks and discover personal data within our data sources. By providing actionable insights into the types of personal data used in the day-to-day operation of our company, it assists Management, Security and Engineering teams to prevent privacy issues and possible incidents. The reports they give are wonderful, but they know so much information about our privacy operations that they could give much more data and statistics.
Our DPO is happy with the current reports to demonstrate compliance with privacy regulations, and yet, we would like to see them become more extensive in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mine has proven to be a powerful tool in our search for a privacy ops platform. Prior to Mine, we were primarily working off of a spreadsheet to track incoming Data Subject Requests (whether deletion or access), data sources, PII, and data types. Mine has allowed us to replace all of this spreadsheet and more while at the same time, providing us with a comprehensive picture of all data privacy metrics in our company as well as important statistics on DSRs and DSARs. Mine's features are excellent, as is the ease with which it can be set up and used right away. When we ran into a potential problem where some fields we wanted weren't available or some functionality was lacking, Mine has taken our requests seriously and helped us to find a solution. The speed is also great. I think that as time passes, Mine's system will become more stable and sturdy, which will eliminate the need to contact their support. Use the awesome feature of importing externally received deletion or copy requests. It might seem like an extra task at first, but believe me, it’s so nice to have every request organized in one place. It also keeps track of your open and closed requests on the reports page Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having the option to not only switch the Privacy Center to different languages but the whole site would be very nice. But having the option to change the Privacy Center besides English to German, Spanish, Arabic, and French is already a big plus. Looking forward to more languages in the future Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's super easy to set up, easy to use and fast to ramp up the team, no need to create complex flows or heavy integrations (everything is no-code API), the UI is intuitive and easy to follow, and our team is quick to learn how to manage tickets and requests.
With Mine, we really improved how we manage data privacy in our company. Everything takes much less time than before now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Assumptions made by the data mapping tool (whether an integrated system contains PII) have some error margin. In terms of DSAR capabilities and integrations, they are excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
