I have been using SharePoint for almost 3 years now. The application has in that time proven to be an excellent document sharing application within my organization.Well, they are a number of reasons why i love SharePoint.
>> SharePoint is a cloud based application which means that i can access business document from anywhere at my own convenience.
>> It has also permission structure which are quit incredible (restrictions and controls)
>> Being a Microsoft product and a progressively advancing software the safety and security of shared and store documents is not much of a concern. They are no worries.
>>It is remarkably fast to share document through SharePoint.
>> SharePoint also facilitates easy sharing of large media files.
>> The cloud based sharing and storage solution provides for online edition of document which is very convenient and time saving.
>> SharePoint acts a 'one stop shopping mall' where you can access a whole range of stored business files especially when you need a reference.
>> The SharePoint web is also workable with most web browsers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
>> One must have internet connection to access/ run the SharePoint application which might not be available at the time.
>> Logically, SharePoint has so many feature and option hence may be a little bit difficult to use especially for new employees/users.
>> The license is relatively expensive especially for start up and young organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft SharePoint is great for sharing files amongst team members and reducing the need for added emails. It's very fast and has a user-friendly interface, making it great for users of different skill levels. Our organization uses SharePoint daily since multiple users can access and edit files simultaneously. It also allows users to share files with users outside of the organization while maintaining access control. I like the ease of integration with Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Implementing SharePoint was very easy for our organization since we were already using Microsoft Teams. Every Microsoft Teams channel has an associated SharePoint site where the files are automatically stored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downsides I have experienced with Microsoft SharePoint is that it becomes slow when there are larger files and the mobile app is a bit clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the most alluring features that Microsoft SharePoint brings to the organization is the aspect of acting as a central place for Storage, managing, and collaborating on business content across the organization, ensuring a streamlined process of sharing information and working collaboratively on projects while maintaining an extremely high security and accessibility standard across different devices. Easy to use, Microsoft Customer support is also very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used sharepoint for 2 years, given the ease of creating database and storing them and column level security in basis of user rights, and on the table level where you can give access restrictions is really amazing, with less knowledge in DBMS i was able to work with it very well. The webparts developed with C# was easy to debug, develop and maintain, My whole time with it I loved it and would recommend. I used it everyday in my work, Establishing the whole integration was considerably easy. And views are easy to implement ( in the web parts) and runtime debug is also really good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finding some bugs were more difficult while compared to other web apps, but not much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having metadata and being able to use this as a filter. The fact that you can create databases with workflow to do what you want (ie notifrications, alerts etc) is a plus. In fact, you can do al sortf of cool things once you get to know more about Sharepoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you archive a document (set metadata as "archived"), it is hard to know which docuemnt is in archive as there is no indictaion unless you drill down to the metadata. It would be useful if once a docuemnt is archived, it looks different (ie greyed out, italics etc). At present, to make it easier for our Team, we put "archive" in brackets at the front of the document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1 It keeps teams all their documents in one place, so everyone can easily find and use the most up-to-date files.
2.Team members can work on documents together at the same time.
3.SharePoint works smoothly
4. Customer support is good.
5.We share project details with our German colleagues via SharePoint links because the file sizes are too large to email. Using SharePoint makes it smooth and easy for us to complete tasks quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1.It can be hard to connect SharePoint with older systems or software that isn't from Microsoft.
2.Rest all I feel good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While powerful, the setup and administrative processes are intuitive. The initial setup was a challenge for me and not user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that we use SharePoint as a software that essentially houses a ton of different documents for different departments. There is also a section called Shaepfile Repository, this is amazing because we often need shapefiles when adding a new location into the system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I dislike is that it does not seem as smooth as the other Microsoft products. I have difficulty navigating through it like the other products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love highly customizable SharePoint, which allows teams to create dedicated sites for projects and Integration with Microsoft 365 makes it easy to work seamlessly with other tools like Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive, which keeps everything organized and accessible from one platform. One challenge with SharePoint is its initial setup and learning curve. New users may find it overwhelming to navigate the features and permissions. Additionally, customization beyond the basics can require technical expertise, which might mean involving IT support for certain configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
