What do you like best about Mevitae?

MeVitae has been really helpful in redacting CVs in a simple and easy way to reduce any kind of bias in our internal selection processes. They even have a new templating feature that seems really interesting and makes the redacted CV look very professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mevitae?

What is Mevitae?

MeVitae’s blind recruiting solutions enable bias free hiring directly within ATS’, helping drive diversity within organisations. Rather than relying on gut feelings or inferences, otherwise subject to distortion from cognitive biases, our team have developed three solutions to de-bias every step of the hiring process, allowing you to make those all-important hiring decisions based on information predictive of performance: Blind recruiting By integrating with ATS systems via API’s, the MeVitae blind recruiting solution uses natural language processes (NLP) to automatically remove over 22 personal identifiers, including age, gender and ethnicity from any CV, cover letter, or supporting document. Talent screening MeVitae’s integration with ATS’ using API’s enables access to company specific and external data sets. By identifying patterns, the API can accurately score applicants against job descriptions to heuristically predict the best screening options, therefore reducing both time and cost per hire. D&I MeVitae’s D&I solution tracks an organisations diversity data throughout the recruitment cycle. Through the utilisation of these talent pool insights, current strengths and opportunities for more effective competitive intelligence can be identified to optimise talent acquisitions strategies.

As Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) continues to rise up the list as one of the most important challenges at the forefront of growing organisations, traditional bias training is no longer enough to make a real impact. There are over a hundred types of cognitive biases in the human brain, such as confirmation bias and halo effect bias. These biases impact every decision made throughout the hiring process, and because of the way the brain functions, everyone has a cognitive bias. The MeVitae team has spent years researching the science of Human Resources (HR), and D&I, and has used deep-tech to successfully develop a suite of solutions that de-bias every step of the hiring process. MeVitae’s mission is to transform the way organisations secure top talent and identify potential leaders, and help them to become more diverse and inclusive whilst remaining competitive in the ever-evolving market.  Specifically, during a candidate selection process, the blind recruiting plug- in can redact more than 22 types of bias identifiers including gender, ethnicity and university from CVs and Cover Letters, directly from a company’s Application Tracking System (ATS). MeVitae’s solutions have been designed with versatility in mind and as such they plug into 20 different ATSs, including our partners Greenhouse, Taleo to name a few. Not only does this solution have a track record of achieving over 95% accuracy in redacting biases – it does this at a super speed of 600 CVs per 6 seconds! The solution has also demonstrated an increase of more than 30% in D&I within organisations. MeVitae’s robust solutions help you to focus on finding the right person for the role, without cognitive and unconscious bias as well as algorithmic bias.

What do you like best about Mevitae?

MeVitae has allowed us to radically improve the diversity in our hiring pools and the diversity of candidates who are advanced through our process. It works seamlessly with our ATS and the support team is very responsive to questions and challenges. Applicants have given us excellent feedback and appreciate our efforts to reduce bias in our application process; hiring teams have also had positive, enthustiastic feedback. MeVitae has enabled us to attract more diverse hiring pools and reduce biased hiring decisions. We've used it across all of our roles for the past nine months.
