One of the best features is the accessibility and simplicity. There a lot of tutorials with a well laid out manuals both offline and online to help people out. Customer support is marvellous too. Overall the tool is quite easy to use. When prices are compared this tool is a lot cheaper than other similar tools like Trados and many others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's simple to use but sometimes it could get overwhelming for a user who doesn't have any experience with computer aided tools as it has a lot of in-depth features to get confused. Apart from this UI could be further slightly improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked following features -
1. Integration with multiple platforms
2. Auto complete option which suggest phrase from the used languages
3. Suggestion from last used sentences
4. Font customization since some of the lines are written in italics of different fonts in the contracts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their website has some issues. It fails to load many times, moreover it hangs my web browser (Google Chrome). Sometimes it has suggested completely different meaning words when couldn't find proper English word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best few features is you can add your own custom glossary which other similar softwares lack. Even when using custom glossaries it checks for correct terminology and provides necessary alerts while maintaining the speed and reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's only available on windows. To make it work on Mac, you have to boot up a virtual machine running windows and then run this software on it which makes it very slow and difficult to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MemoQ has helped us in managing the quality of the translation process. It has a lot of functions to check consistency and ensure the use of the correct terminology. It is also compatible with other CAT tools and since it stores the earlier translations and uses them for future work, it's faster than other translators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a bit hard to understand all the features. Although they have a training course while starting with the program, we still couldn't figure out some of the functions till quite late. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When involved in a business which needs a lot of translational work to local languages, memoQ is a very handy tool. The predicting capability with sort of AI features is the icing on the cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have faced some problems with semantics in a sentence but otherwise it is pretty accurate.` Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MemoQ has saved us a great deal of time since we were using Google translator before. The translation memory feature is very helpful since in our contracts many terms our being repeated several times. Translation memory is just like predictive text, it grabs the previously used sentences to suggest the unfinished sentences which makes it lot faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since we were using Google translator (free tool) before, paying for this software cause a bit discomfort. But hey! Everything comes at a price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its an open source software so you can play around with the APIs. The best I liked is the auto complete feature which works similar to Google's predictive text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its not available on Mac, which is the most concern since half the staff works on Macs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
